"What are you doing here?" I demand of my sister.

Laila shrugs. "Came to see my sister become an English Princess." She says.

"You weren't invited." I hiss savagely.

Laila feigns hurt and put her hand over her heart. "Rather rude, don't you think, Brittany?" she asks.

I roll my eyes.

"Laila, why don't I lead you to a bedroom?" Cody asks politely.

Laila eyes him suspiciously. "Brittany is your fiancé, dear. Sleep with her." She says.

I want to slap her.

You know... I think I will.

But before I can hit her Cody catches my arm and pulls me into his chest.

"Then perhaps I'll have Henrietta lead you to one." Cody says, still with perfect manners.

"That sounds wonderful." Laila says with a sick grin.

As if on cue, out comes Henrietta.

"Right this way, miss." She says to Laila.

Laila smiles at me and follows her inside.

"That bitch!" I hiss as soon as she's gone.

"Brittany, love, I know that's your sister, but she's also the Queen of Denmark. You need to be careful." Cody says.

"You don't knew her like I do." I say.

He touches my cheek. Never mind that. What the hell just happened to you?" he says.

I know he's referring to my little spell before Laila showed up.

"Nothing." I lie.

He gives me a look. I know he knows I'm lying.

I sigh. "I'm just having a bad day." I say.

"Tell me what happened earlier." He says.

I close my eyes. "My dress doesn't fit me." I say quietly.

"So have Leila alter it. Don't brides do that all the time?" he asks.

"No, Cody. The dress fit me two weeks ago." I say.

"So, what? You lost weight?" he asks. A pause. "In two weeks? Brittany if you haven't been eating right I'm going to...well I don't know but it won't be nice." He says.

I roll my eyes. "I didn't lose weight, asshole." I snap. "I gained weight."

He stares at me. "So?" he asks.

"Ugh! Cody Lelia thinks I may be pregnant." I say.

I was hoping he'd figure it out on his own, but then he jumped to anorexia. Like, no. I like to eat. End of story.

He stares at me. "Do you think you are?" he asks.

"Kinda thought you'd flip out." I say.

"Why would I do that?" he asks.

"Because it's a baby! Cody, we're not ready for one of those." I say.

He smiles gently. "Remember our age difference, my love." He says.

And it hits me. Of course, Cody is almost twenty. It made sense for him to be ready for a kid.

"But I'm only sixteen, Cody. You remember the age difference." I snap.

"I did. Easy, Britt. There's no need to get upset." He tells me.

Too late.

sorry for the short chapter and two month hiatus. I'm back! Thanks for reading!
