Y/n's POV"I'm so nervous!"
"You just said you were excited just a few minutes ago," I replied rolling my eyes.
"I know, but I'm so nervous now that we're getting so close to the school!" B/f/n exclaims.
"You'll be fine. You have me," I remind her.
"You're right! What was I so worried about?" She says skipping along.
"You're like a kid," I laugh.
"What's wrong with showing your inner child?" She asks and I smile.
"Nothing. I just found it funny," I reply, "Oh, we're here."
B/f/n looked at the school in awe and bounced up and down. Lot's of students were already here and some were just making their way in like us.
"It's so much bigger than my old school!" B/f/n beams.
"Welcome to Aoba Johsai High School!" I announced as we entered the gate. "C'mon. I'll lead you to the front office."
We got to the office and after talking to the secretary, she gave B/f/n her schedule.
"What'd you get?" I ask looking at her schedule.
"I don't know where any of these classes are..." She groans.
"We have the same homeroom! And we have a few classes together. But there's a day where we don't have a single one together," I told her while I scanned her schedule.
"That's great!"
"Yeah! Let's go or we'll be late for homeroom," I informed her realizing the time.
"You're right. By the way, I gave it a lot of thought. Is the word 'dictionary' in the dictionary?" B/f/n asked me.
Time Skip!
"Wow. There are actually some nice people here! But...I noticed something. People are glaring at us for some reason. Is it me? Did I do something wrong?!" She panicked. I looked around and noticed that it was mostly the girls. More specifically, Oikawa's fangirls. I roll my eyes in annoyance and sigh.
"It's not you they're glaring at. It's me. It's all because I hang out with Oikawa. Actually, more like he always comes to bother me," I explain to her.
"Are you sure he doesn't like you?" She smirks.
"What? No. Even if he did, I wouldn't be interested," I reply as we walk into the lunch room. "Oh I forgot! I need to introduce you to Hajime! He's my best friend! He is kind of like a mom to me too," I grinned. B/f/n gave me a look and I looked at he confused.
"I thought I was your best friend!" She cried. So that's what it was.
"You are. You're my number one best friend, "I reassured her, "Forever."
"Awww. Y/n! You're the best!" She exclaimed giving me a hug. I couldn't but chuckle. We got to our table and I saw that Hajime and Oikawa were already there as always.
"Hey guys!"
"Y/n!" Oikawa greeted.
"You're later than usual," Hajime said.
"Well I'm sorry I was talking to my best friend," I sassily say.
"Forever. Best friend forever," B/f/n added.
"Is she the one you would always talk about?" Hajime asks and I nod. B/f/n then held her hand out for Hajime to shake.
"My name's B/f/n! Nice to finally meet you!" She smiled. Hajime shook her hand and introduced himself.
"Iwaizumi Hajime. I would usually let people call me by my last name but since you're Y/n's best friend forever, you can just call me Hajime."
B/f/n turned to Oikawa and looked at him with recognition. "Hey you're the guy from before. Oikawa right?" He nodded.
"I guess I didn't get to introduce myself properly last time. Just call me B/f/n as well," B/f/n says smiling.
Throughout the day I could tell that B/f/n was getting along with Oikawa and Hajime, mostly Hajime. School ended and we all decided to walk home together after practice.
"Are you sure it's okay?" B/f/n asked, unsure if she would be allowed to stay and watch.
"Yes. It's perfectly fine. My uncle wouldn't allow anyone else to watch all the time, especially Oikawa's fangirls. But since you're my best friend, you're an exception," I assure her while giving her a smile. We enter the gym and the boys were already practicing.
"Remember boys, there's a practice match coming soon so I better see you working hard!" My uncle instructs them as they continue practice. Except Oikawa of course. He has to sit out because of his knee.
"Hey Uncle Irihata!" I wave to him.
"Y/n you're here. Oh and B/f/n's here too," My uncle greets to B/f/n.
"Hello. You don't mind if I stay and watch do you?" She asked. He shook his head.
"Not at all! It's good to have you!" My uncle replies. I then hear a very familiar cry.
"I want to practice too! It's not fair!" I look over to see Oikawa sulking as he watches his teammates practice. I go over to him and flick his forehead.
"If you hadn't overworked yourself and played while you were injured, you wouldn't be sitting out. Now stop complaining and just watch the practice like a good boy okay?" I scold him. He slumps down and nods. I walk back to my uncle and B/f/n and my uncle says,
"Thank you Y/n. He's been like that ever since practice started. I'm glad you got him to shut up. The others need to focus instead of hearing Oikawa's complaints."
"No problem. It was kind of annoying me as well... He really wants to play that bad huh." My uncle nods and I sigh looking over to Oikawa who was watching practice.
"He really is the best and dedicated," My uncle compliments.
"Really?! You mean that?!" I jumped when I saw that Oikawa was right beside me. I glare at him. Yeah, he really is something.
"Well the dedicated part I would say. But I wouldn't say he's the best," I smirk. I heard B/f/n snicker at that.
"You're always so mean Y/n! Even B/f/n is nicer than you!" Oikawa complained. He turned to B/f/n for help. Bro, she's my best friend. If you think she'd going to help you instead of me.
"Actually, I wouldn't say you're the best either," She snickered again. See, told you. Oikawa had a blank face and started whining again. Me and B/f/n laughed and I could see my uncle smiling.
