11 - You can run, but you can't hide

Your giggles could be heard anywhere in the place.
The echo of your voice spread over your new house, you laughed as he kept on tickling you.
"Remember y/n you can run but you can't hide." - Taeil said as you were running away all the way to your bedroom plopping on your large bed from the exhaustion.
"Got you." - he said planting a kiss on your forehead

It's been already a week since you moved in here, there wasn't a single thing you had to complain on.
Your life was going great so far, except one thing.
Your health seemed to got worse, you felt weak, every meal you consumed ended up being thrown up discreetly just so Taeil doesn't know.
You knew something was wrong but did he?
Of course not.
You never complained, you didn't want to be burden to him but that's what fuck things up between you both last time.
Was it a good time to tell him or you'd rather make sure that it's nothing before you'd eventually make him dead worried.
You knew well he would, after all you were his one and only, that's what you believed.

« What's wrong?" - he said looking at you
"Oh sorry I zoned out"
"No shit, it's not like I was calling you for so long." - he said laughing
"I am so happy to be with you."
"Oh are you?" - he said with his cocky smile sitting you on his lap and followed with a soft peck on your lips.

You lived your own fairytale, everything seemed perfect.
Nothing could go wrong, right?
Despite everything was better than you could ever imagine you were still anxious.
You would wake up at night crying god knew why.
Were you afraid of something? Or someone?
Nobody knew where you were so what was the reason you couldn't sleep at night.

You finally decided to see the doctor the other day to find out the reason behind you feeling horrible lately.
"Please come in miss."
„Hello mister Choi." - you said bowing a little
Mr. Choi was a nice man in his early 50s I believe.
There was a family portrait on his mahogany desk.
They all looked so happy, which made you slightly sad, because you never got to witness what a real family is.
There was nobody who taught you about the real love.
You always felt envy looking at your friends chilling with their parents meanwhile you were roaming around the city, because there was nobody waiting for you as for other kids.

"What brings you here miss?"
"It's been a few weeks that I feel a little..." - you stop to take a breath as you feel the sudden urge to throw up but you don't
"Are you okay miss?"
"Well that's what I am actually talking about, I feel like throwing up all the time, sometimes I feel like fainting and I can feel a strong pain in my abdomen area, pretty much like when I am on period."
"Miss May I ask you a question?"
"Sure."
He then looked at you with that warmth in his eyes and asked:
"Did you already take pregnancy test?"
"Pregnancy what?" - you said feeling slightly irritated by what he said
"I- I didn't think about it, why would I?
I am taking pills." - you said reassuring your doctor
"If you say so." - he said smiling and proceeded to your check up
After everything was done he sat in his chair and started to write some stuff down, you couldn't help but think how would it be to have family with Taeil.
Would he like it? What if you were actually pregnant?
But you brushed it off and heard your doctor calling you
"You need to go there and have some more check ups, the sooner the better.
Please don't overwork yourself and make sure to take enough rest." - he said nonstop smiling at you
When you were about to leave he said "Good luck." and called the next patient to come in.

Could this be it?
Would you be pregnant?
You smiled at the thought of you and Taeil raising a little demon together, but then it hit you.
You didn't have your period for about two months already and it wasn't surprising but you thought it was only because of the stress that Jaehyun caused.
Jaehyun.
What if?
No it can't be.
You couldn't help but sit on the bench that was in front of you and cry.
Everything came back.
You both ran away to start a new life, but that's when you realised you'll never be able to, not if the kid won't be Taeil's but Jaehyun's coming from the time he basically raped you.
Now you were sure you are pregnant, that's why mr. Choi said Good luck and that's why you can't stop throwing up.
Now the words Jaehyun said kept on ringing in your mind:
"You can run, but you can't hide."

You hear your phone ringing but you don't pick up, it was Taeil.
You didn't know what to do, what to think.
You couldn't be absolutely sure of that pregnancy.
Was that really a thing?
If so how would Taeil react if it wasn't his child?
Of course he knew about the thing with Jaehyun and he never blamed you, he in fact seemed to know more than you thought.
Sometimes you thought he was hiding something from you.

It's been a few days already, you were waiting for the results of your check ups.
It was supposed to come in mail in a few days, so all you could do was to wait patiently.
It was 7pm, you were now in the kitchen cooking something when Taeil enters the room welcoming you with his beautiful, bright smile
holding some letter in his hands coming your way and finally getting closer to you and pulling you into his embrace.
"How are you doing？" - he asked stroking your hair waiting for your answer, but all he's got from you was a sweet, soft kiss on his cheek
"I am good, what about you?"
"Hungry." - he said chuckling
You noticed one of the letters he had in his hands was to you.
You tried to take it, but he kept on teasing you.
"Catch me if you can." - and with that he started running around the kitchen with your letter in his hand up in the air.
He knew damn well you'd never reach this high with your short legs.
„Oh cmon' give it to me." - you said a little irritated
"What's that? A love letter from some handsome man?" - he said jokingly opening the envelope and that's when you broke down
"Fuck, fuck."
"Hey babe what's wrong?" - he asked lowering himself to you, who now was sitting on the cold kitchen floor, your tears falling on the beautiful marble under your legs.
"Open it already."
He opens the envelope, but what he reads wasn't something neither of you would ever expect.
„So am i pregnant or?"
"Pregnant? Why wou-" - he said getting all teary
After what seemed like forever you said: „Taeil What's that?" - you said but he didn't show you the letter, he just hugged you tight and said:
"I won't let this happen again."
"What do you mean? Show me the letter."
And when he finally does that you can't help but feel all emotions to come back, everything you got through, it all comes back.
"You can run, but you can't hide."
