After dinner I'm excused to have time to spend time with the dogs before I shower and go to bed.

I go into my room and change into my robe before heading outside to look at the myriad of stars in the sky and to relieve the aching pain all over my body.

I place my robe on a fallen log, leaving myself completely naked. I never mind as it's only me and my dogs outside. I stretch a bit, the pain feeling worse for a second before a relief.

"Romeo!" I call as I walk down the dock, the moon reflecting beautifully in the still water. Stars dotting the spots where the moons size doesn't reach. The reflection breaks suddenly as Romeo jumps into the water. I laugh at the large dog and follow suit.

"Oh it's chilly!" I gasp coming up for air. My hair slicked back and stuck to my head. Romeo barks as he climbs out of the water catching a random scent, Juliet lies on the dock watching me swim.

"It feels so nice though!" I sigh letting myself float, all weight all of my body making my pain minimal.

"Miss (y/n) would you like your music player?" Amy asks walking towards the dock.

"Yes please. Is it connected to the Bluetooth player?" I question leaning against the dock, which isn't high off the water so I can easily get in and out.

"Of course miss. And your towel is next to your robe." Amy hands me the water proof device and leaves with a small smile, she doesn't know I'm naked in the water. Nobody does.

I turn my current favorite song on and sing along. All my frustration of being stuck in a scheduled life with little choices leak into my voice. I try to keep myself from cracking but it inevitably happens.

I can't help but laugh at the embarrassing sound that exited my lips. A voice crack on a note I easily can hit. My laughing catches the attention of Juliet who jumps into the water.

"No! Juliet stooop it! I can't hold you up and tread water!" I giggle hugging the hound.

My playlist continues and I sing and float around, music and the sounds of nature mixing in the sparkling sky above me.

I stand up in the water shivering slightly. Juliet has pulled herself out of the water and has wandered off to find Romeo.

"Romeo! Juliet! Come home!" I hear Paul yell, giving me the queue to come inside. Sadness washes over me and my face falls into its neutral look.

I pull myself from the water and hurriedly make my way to my towel to dry off enough to slip my robe and slippers on.

I turn to look at the lake shivering from the cold and shaking from the pain slowly returning. Everything is going back to how I left it this morning, except it's dark outside.

My eyes wander to the patch of trees closest to the water and the house, a flash... no reflection of light hits my eyes. Curiosity fills me and I take a step towards the flash

"Starlight come inside you are going to catch a cold! And the good lord knows we can't afford that!" Paul says ushering me back inside, another flash catches my eye as the door shuts in front of my face.
