Stepping Out Of The Spotlight (Ticci Toby x reader)

Every night for the next week or so I visit Tobys place. I don't know why he's staying so close to me... I mean he could live anywhere but I love it.

Toby has never seen me as the movie star- but who I am. I'm not in the spotlight with him.. we are under the stars and moonlight. Being honest with eachother.

Most nights we sit on his bed and just talk, occasionally he has me sit on his lap or we cuddle. And... it's just sweet.

"(Y/n)... just... don't run from me... after I say this." Toby whispers into my ear.

"Hm? Nothing could scare me after knowing what you do." I tease patting his cheek with my free hand, he laughs along with me.

"Well... when you told me to leave... I didn't... I saw what he did to you. And I'm so mad. I'm so angry... I just want to steal you away and make you happy.... I lo- *coughs* I don't want to see you hurt again..." he holds me tightly, causing my back to scream out in agony but I don't let him know.. he doesn't understand that about me.

"T-Toby? I wish I could leave with you too.... but I have my projects to finish and... I mean I can... I can't let my fans down... maybe I could convince Paul to let me have a long break... fake ill for auditions, conveniently loose my-" I'm cut off of my ranting by the feeling of hot air on my lips, my eyes adjust and I see Toby... right there... hardly an inch from my lips... his almost touching mine.

"I'll wait for you. I can wait... I've waited so long already." His voices cracks at how soft it is, fading in and out. But his lips never come in contact with mine and his occasional ticks pull him farther away from me. I feel my face burning red at this.

"I could never ask for a better best friend." I hug him and turn my head to the side. I don't like like him... I just enjoy his company that's it..
