I arrive home a week later, with a new movie and boyfriend under my belt. Neither of which I asked for.

"Miss why are you upset?" Liam asks after I let a sad sigh loose.

"Nothing. I'm just tired." I avoid the topic that is looming in my mind.

The car stops at the red light I saw the mystery figure at for the first time, it has slipped my mind. I find my eyes wandering the tree line for something and I find it.

The figure is sitting on a high branch of the tree. One leg lazily hanging in midair and one arm adjusting the hood they wear.

I smile at this moment, someone free is right there and they are looking at me. I can picture myself in their shoes being able to sit in trees and stare at passing cars.

The car pulls away and the figure quickly moves out of their spot, as if they noticed my stare on them.

I get home at an earlier hour than usual. The sun is still high in the sky and birds are still chirping.

Since I'm home at such an early hour I have to exercise until I'm called in for dinner and then can be excused for my nightly swim.

"Starlight. My darling! You need to practice your routines." Paul says kissing my cheeks, the only affection I'm ever given.

"Yes sir." I reply and change into my workout clothes, which as expected were lying on my neatly made bed.

I walk outside onto the patio and turn the music on to stretch. My muscles ache and my back burns with the pain I've had for years. I take a little bit of medication and do my routines.

One is a lyrical dance, all movements flow together like the movements of water. I enjoy this routine a lot, I feel free and able to unleash my bottled emotions as I spin and leap across the floor.

Another is a ballet dance, I pull my pointe shoes on, I have done ballet since I was adopted, and start it. This piece reminds me of a bird, free to fly away and leave at any time except it's trapped in a cage.

I finish my dances and am immediately knocked over by Romeo. I laugh and pet the mixed breed dog. He licks my face happily.

"ROMEO! Stop licking me!" I giggle under his weight. The dog licks my entire face one more time before bounding off of me and over to the much calmer Juliet. I laugh at the two lovey dogs and do my dances again.
