A/N ok I know it's weird that I slipped in a character I only did it bc I forgot when I was writing the first chapter that I really wanted to include this character so ye yee

Kayla's POV

"Yay" first day of school in a new city. I woke up at 6:00 put my light brown hair in a ponytail and put a quick sport outfit on. On my way out I checked Tony's room to see if he was getting sleep. When I opened his door he was asleep. Finally, that kid usually has some trouble sleeping.

I grabbed my school bag and softball gear and headed out the door to tryouts. Tryouts consisted of continuous base running and arm throws. I made sure to go to the gym and workout my arms to make my throwing stronger and for my fastball pitches.

Once tryouts were done I took a quick shower in the locker room and got changed into some black ripped jeans, a backwards hat, Polaroid shirt, and some white high tops.

A/N: wtf I just realized I made softball season being at the beginning of the year. Are you actually dumb past me! Ok readers, pretend softball season is at the beginning of the year, not the end.

I pulled up my schedule and my locker info on my phone and looked for my locker. I found it put my random supplies in and hooked my backpack over my right shoulder and started heading to first period.

My first period was model designs. This was basically just drawing dimensional figures for different models for homes.

I had Mr.Quill as my teacher. When I arrived not many kids were there yet so I picked a seat in the middle to back. Today like most first days we went over syllabus and what we are going to do later in the year and yadadyad....

Riiiinngggg
That's the bell. He gave us something to take home for our parents to sign about some app to draw on. My next class was AP US History or as our school called it, APUSH.

(That goes out to my comments)

I have really enjoyed US History since 7th grade. I remember my teacher made it very fun which made me actually pay attention.

After a couple more interesting periods it was lunch time. I didn't really know where to go, so I grabbed my sandwich and headed to the wood commons to read and eat.

To me it didn't really matter if I ate I would be depressed anyway. Even before mom left dad would still like to beat us, but I took most of it bc I wanted to protect Tony. I would do anything for him just to keep him safe.

The bell rang and it was time for my interior design class. I headed to the classroom and was greeted by a lady who had a cold/firm expression on her face who I suppose is Mrs.Danvers. When she saw my outfit she smiled and said, "I think we're going to get along very well." The main reason was because she saw my outfit and she thought it looked pretty layed back unlike other girls in the school who wear freaking tube tops.

I sat down this time near the front of the class. Then a cute guy with a shy expression on his face walked in and sat down next to me. He had black medium long hair, and wore mostly green.

Just to be out there and show people that I'm chill. I introduced myself to him by giving him my hand.

He looked up at me with an expression on shock, fear, and confusion.

I said, "Hey, I'm Kayla."

His expression faded into a shy smile as he said, "I..I'm Loki."

Then I got settled back in my seat and we both shot each other a wide smile and let the class begin.

Loki and I paired up for a design project that was due by winter break. We had to set up a model of a kitchen and living room floor plan and design. I was so psyched to do this.

Right before the bell rang we exchanged numbers and headed our different ways.

The rest of my classes were full of syllabus bull crap. I couldn't wait to get to the town's library. It looked so huge! Books have always been my escape from anxiety, and let's my mind travel into a new universe.

After what felt like an eternity, the bell rang and I dashed off to my locker, then swiftly shutting it, heading to my car.

As I was driving my mind wandered to softball, from what I saw this morning. I wasn't that bad judging by how the others girls played. My time at the gym has really payed off. Especially for running bases. To some extent it felt like my legs were going to fall off.

I arrived at the library and was dazzled by all it's glory. So many aisles! SO MANY BOOKS! I could have a field day in here. By the time I got out I checked 3 different books out after setting up my card. I then decided to head home.

When I got home I plopped my stuff on the chair and started making dinner for Tony and I.
