"Sir, your meeting with Scott Atkins will be at five-thirty in the evening and here are the documents you asked me to bring," Amanda said as she walked over to me.

I shouldn't have pushed Vanessa. She must be fuming in anger. I am an idiot. She must be throwing things around her. Oh, God. What have I done? I will make up for her. I will take her out for lunch.
I am so sorry baby. I got up from my chair and was about to take steps when a familiar voice stopped me in my tracks.

"Sir, where are you going?" Amanda questioned. When did she come?

"What are you doing here, Amanda?" I asked her as I sat back on the chair.

"Sir, I am here to tell you about the meeting with Scott Atkins and you asked for the documents so here they are." She slowly said with her head bowed down.

"That was one hour before! I wasn't expecting such carelessness from you, Amanda." I snapped at her.

"I am so sorry sir. Sir, Noah told me to assemble some files in his office." She stuttered. That asshole.

I sighed. "Okay. I will at the meeting. Make sure you look at the conference room before the meeting. You may leave now." She nodded and left my office.

I got engaged with my work and checked the emails and gave a brief look through all the documents.

My phone kept on beeping. I got up from my chair and walked over to the window. The view was so beautiful but my phone distracted me from my admiring it. I heavily sighed and walked back to the chair. I leaned back and grabbed my phone.

You won't even say hey, Van.

I know you saw my message.
