It's Friday, 30 June 2017 around five-thirty.
A bus full of children are heading to Mayan Dude Ranch.
Cars are facing past and the bus stops.
Everyone grabs their bags and head out the door.
As soon as most people head out Maya gets her backpack.
She just doesn't feel like going to face strange people.
But she has to.
As soon as she steps out of the bus she sees Amy.
But not just her.
She sees an older man and a young guy.
Which she could see doesn't have a very positive feeling.

"Who is the girl?" Josh asked.
"There are literally twenty Joshua," Alan said.
"The one talking to Mom," Josh said.
"Maya Hart. She isn't visiting. She will be working with you."

Josh's pov

I looked at the girl.
She doesn't seem like a country girl.
I mean.
She is clearly a city girl.
But who am a to judge a new girl?

"Josh this is Maya. She will be working with you on the horses. My son is a veterinary," Amy said.
"I barely finished my first year. Welcome," Josh said.
"Thank you," Maya said.

Maya looked past Josh and saw that there was lose cattle.

"I think your cattle got out," Maya said.
"Shoot. Josh! Let's go," Alan said.
"Great," Josh said and jumped on a horse.

Amy dealed with all the kids and their parents.
Maya just got in her cabin and packed all her stuff away which wasn't even a lot of stuff.
When she was done she went outside.
Both Allan and Josh were still busy gathering the cattle.
But she so saw a few horses.

"Mrs Matthews," Maya said.

It was clear that Amy had things deviding her attention SO Maya decides to help a little out.
She sees a horse and goes to it.
She then jumps on the horse and is off.
She gathers the horses to a point and let them go in their stables.
Alan and Josh just watched her from a distance.
Obvious the two men were surprised about how much a sixteen year old could do.

"What?" Maya said as the men watched her.
"We here to work or have a staring contest?" Maya asked.

They finished with both the cattle and the horses then they went back to the ranch house.

"Where are you from?" Josh asked.
"Greenwich Village, New York City," Maya said.
"How are you so good then?" Josh asked.
"Don't know," Maya said.
"That is pretty..."

"So how did it go? I saw you jumped on a horse," Amy said.
"She was amazing. Think this could work very well," Josh said.
"Hope so. Show the girl around," Amy said.
"Let's go," Josh said.

Josh and Maya jumped on their horses and rode till they got to like a river just a few miles up the road.
Well not the road.
Just awhile from the ranch.
Josh thought it would be a good idea to distance Maya from his parents to really to get to know his colleague.
Which he doesn't think is who she seems to be.
They walked down and sat down beside the river.

"So how did you come along the ranch?" Josh asked.
"My father sent me here," Maya said.
"Like I figured. Look you are good on a horse and I'm sure you're good with people but when it comes to the real wild horses you're gonna come bad second," Josh said and Maya stood up.
"Why do I even bother?"

Maya jumped on her horse and ride back to the ranch.
She wasn't keen on getting into an argument with Josh Matthews.
And definitely not about what she knows and what not.
When she came back to the ranch Alan saw her and went over to her.

" Everything okay?" Alan asked.
"Yeah. I'm just tired," Maya said.
"If Josh is being mean to you tell me. I'll sort him out."

"Sort who out?" Josh asked.
"You. What did you do to her?" Alan asks and Maya disappears.
"You can't bring a city girl here and think she'll crack everything," Josh said and was gone.
