It was the end of the week and finally Maya got a hnag of most of the stuff that she had to get done with.
She was getting more and more things at school right and her job was also now a lot better.
Of course weekends meant that she still had to work but a lot less which made her very glad.
She was also trying to get not as much work in so she can ease herself into the experience of the new high school and everythjng but that didn't seem like a huge thing for her.

With Josh also being in university it was making it very hard for them to actually date because they have different schedules and it didn't seem like much of them were going to change soon enough.
But the weekends they did get a few times where they could just hung out and so.

"What are we doing today?" Maya asked as Josh looked at her.
"Not a whole lot. I'm taking you to a rodio in Austin. Or more like a equestrian center. You'll like seeing those kind of things," Josh said.
"That sounds like fun. But don't you have some things to do today?" Maya asked and Josh shakes his head.
"Cool. Wow, since when is it in late August 104 degrees?" Maya asked.
"Barely. It's a unexpected and late heat wave coming past which will last a week or so. You fine with driving out in ten minutes?" Josh asked.
"Yeah, we can go then," Maya said.

"This place is definitely something different," Maya said.
"I'm glad you like it," Josh said as Maya saw two boys walking past them.
"Oh my gosh. Lucas Friar?" Maya said and Lucas turned around.
"Maya? What are you doing here?" Lucas asked.
"I work for a ranch here. Hi, Zay. How are you two?" Maya asked.
"Good. Who is this?" Zay asked.
"My boyfriend and Riley's uncle, Josh. Lucas and Riley used to date before they moved to London. I work at Mayan Dude Ranch for Mr Matthew's patents," Maya said.
"So why drive 118 miles out?" Lucas asked.
"I came to show her the competition. She's really good with taming and helping the horses," Josh said.
"We gotta go. See ya," Lucas said and they were off.

"So they live here?" Josh asked.
"Long ago they did. They are from Austin but moved to NYC," Maya said.
"Why?" Josh asked.
"Don't know," Maya said.
