"Okay, ready for your first Texas Christmas?" Josh asked and Maya smiled.
"Yes and no. I just don't want anything to end. The holidays has been amazing but due to everything else I think this is very complicated. And after next year comes the studying. Don't even know if I wanna go to college anymore," Maya said.
"Keep on working with my father. Sure he'll be fine with it," Josh said.
"I'll discuss it with him. But for now I must just figure out how I am surviving a Matthew Christmas because when Topanga does it, it's crazy," Maya said.
"Luckily my mother is no Topanga. You'll be fine. Let's go," Josh said and they entered the house.

It was fully decorated with more than enough decorations and of course was both May and Alan glad to see the young couple.
Since they have been dating it has been something else and something amazing that it would even been seen as their youngest son being in a relationship far too good.
Amy smiles as Maya takes off her coat placing it on the coat rack as she went to sit down next to Alan.

"Hi, Mr Matthews. How's it been going?" Maya asked.
"Good. But we have some unfortunate news along with this good season. I'm sick," Alan said and Josh looked at his father.
"That shouldn't be a big deal. Maya has been coping pretty good on her own and I bet you I can also..."
"Josh, I have cancer," Alan said and those words hit both Josh and Maya huge.

Josh looked at his father as he didn't know what to do.
He stood up from where he was sitting next to Maya heading up to his room.
Maya looked at the stairs where he went up but that had no idea how she was going to help him.
This was the biggest shock anyone could give him.

"How serious is it?" Maya asked when she finally could get anything out.
"Terminal," Alan said.
