All day the brothers slept in order to gain strength in the evening. As the alarm clock set at eight o'clock rang, Dean and Sam got out of beds and began to prepare for the upcoming meeting with the mysterious creature. Sam cleared the streams and prepared supplies of salt and holy water while Dean loaded his pistols.

"This guy, Pete" Dean began, filling the clip with shiny silver cartridges "He too easily believed that his friend was resurrected, don't you think?"

"Maybe he just wanted to believe that?" Sam thought.

Dean shrugged and set the gun aside.

"What should we prepare for? What should we take with us?"

"Anything that might come in handy" the younger Winchester decided.

"We still have a crossbow with darts and a jar of dead man's blood after dealing with father"

"You think he might be a vampire?" Sam was surprised.

"I really hope he's not. But I'll prepare the darts just in case"

Sam filled a large tourist backpack with the necessary things: a shotgun, two pistols, a crucifix, a book with rituals on the expulsion of demons, put also several small cans of salt, holy water and two sharp machetes. At the very top was a crossbow.

As dusk fell on the city, the brothers got into the car and drove to the address Pete had told them. Fortunately, the guy was smart enough not to come here alone. Dean turned off the engine, Sam got out of the car, and threw a heavy backpack with ammunition on his shoulder. Of course, they could leave all this in the trunk, but the brothers did not know what awaited them behind the dark alleys.

The wind walked between the houses, raising dust and debris into the air. It was even darker here than on the street, because there were no lights anywhere. Sam thought he heard some kind of knock and shuffling sound, but he decided he was delirious. Dean was on the left side of the road, and Sam - on the right. They moved slowly, like wild cats, and very carefully.

Suddenly, the knock became louder. The brothers looked at each other, and Sam realized that everything was real. Dean lifted a shotgun at the ready, and shook it toward Sam.

"Look"

On the corner of one of the houses was a bloody trail, very small, but the brothers immediately saw it. Fresh blood poured in the moonlight. And right around the corner some kind of noise was heard, a gurgling sound and hiss, as if hot metal fell into the water. The brothers stopped, trying to act as quietly as possible, and Dean raised three fingers up.

"Three... two... one!"

They jumped out from behind a corner and saw a horrible sight. A man in an expensive suit was lying on the ground, and next to him lay a case with documents. Apparently, he was a businessman. And a little further, clutching his teeth in the wrist of the prey, a real monster hung. As soon as he saw the strangers, the monster grinned and began to hiss. He was a young man, only his face was covered with blood and his eyes were shining in the dark. His upper teeth grew in two rows, they were narrow and long, like ...

"Vampire!" yelled Dean in panic. He sincerely hoped that he would no longer have to deal with them.

The creature made a terrifying roar and immediately rushed to the hilt. Dean managed to shoot, but the bullet hit a dense brick wall.

"Check him out, I'll chase!" shouted Dean, on the move pulling out of a backpack with the crossbow darts. Sam ran to the businessman and checked his pulse.

"Dean, he's alive, just unconscious. I'll bandage the wounds, run!"

Pete was right, because the paths between the houses looked like a maze. Dean almost got lost while chasing a convert vampire. Fortunately, he was guided by the sound, because the creature was not at all able to act cautiously. After a minute of desperate race, Dean was at an impasse, and the vampire was right in front of him. Behind him was a rather high wall, and a vampire could jump over it if he knew what he was capable of. But the human principle was still glowing in him, so he just stood and looked at the hunter. He was afraid only of the sight of the crossbow and the likelihood that he might be hurt. The guy crouched and let out a low growl. His eyes shone like the moon.
