Chapter 20

Mindy lets go of moms embrace and walks up to me while I have a smirk on my face. She has a nice red hand print on her right cheek "WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?!?" Mindy yells "You shouldn't have said shit about my daughter" Mom goes in between us and breaks us up "Okay girls that's enough" My mom yells at us "Mom, she hit me" Mindy sobs "You deserved it, you shouldn't have said that, you should know your sister by now" Mindy's eyes widens "Are you taking her side?" Mindy asks "Yes" My mom nods "Thanks mom" 

I have a small smile plastered on my face "No problem sweetie" She smiles at me "Now lets go" Me, mom and Mindy begin to walk out of the airport to her Mercedes Benz car that's in the parking lot. I sit in the front seat because mom wants me to and Mindy sits in the backseat "Are you ready girls?" My mom asks us "Yes" Mindy doesn't say anything she just stares out the window

Mom begins to drive out of the airport parking lot to the highway "I gotta call Marshall" I inform my mom and sister "Okay honey" My mom nods "Ughh" Mindy groans "What the hell is your problem?" I glare at my sister "Nothing" She shakes her head "Yeah, I thought so" I pull out my phone out of my purse and call Marshall. He picks up after a few rings "Hey" Marshall says boldly "Hi" I say with a smile "Did you make it to New York safely?" Marshall asks "Yes, thanks for asking" I smile with a nod "No problem" Mom whispers "Can I say "hi" as well?" My mom asks "Sure" I reply back to my mom 

"Marshall, my mom wants to say hi to you so I'm gonna put you on speaker" I inform him "Okay" Marshall says plainly, I put Marshall on speaker and signal mom to talk to him "Hi Marshall" My mom smiles "Hey Mrs Lyon, how are you doing? How is your husband doing?" Marshall asks my mom "That's so sweet of you to ask, he is not looking good but he is holding on and I'm doing fine, how are you doing?" My mom asks Marshall

"I'm doing good" Marshall says sounding a bit more happy "How are your daughters?" She asks "They are fine, they have gotten so big now" Marshall nervously chuckles "Good to hear, how is Bella?" She asks "She misses her mom a lot" Marshall giggles "Awww tell Bella I miss her more" I smile "I will" Mom looks over at Mindy "Mindy, say hi to Marshall" Mindy has a smirk on her face 

"Hi sweetie" She smiles and I roll my eyes "Hey" Marshall says awkwardly "How is everything?" She asks with a giggle "Very busy but you know that's life of a superstar" Marshall chuckles and Mindy laughs flirtatiously, I give her a dirty look and she smirks at me "Oh stop it, you're so funny" She flirts "Thanks" There's awkward silence between Marshall and Mindy "Do you miss me?" Mindy breaks the awkward silence "Oh shut up Mindy" I glare at Mindy "Hey, Marshall misses me" She raises her voice at me "No he doesn't"

"Marshall" Marshall sighs "She's right" Marshall agrees "See" Mindy smirks at me like she's won which she has "Marshall" I say his name heartbroken "She's right Mindy, I don't miss you, I don't even like you" I smile in relief and Mindy gives me a dirty look "I miss you Bri" I can tell Marshall is smiling how he is sounding on the phone "I miss you too" I smile "You know that Brianna slapped me right across the face" Marshall starts to laugh "She didn't?" Marshall asks laughing "Oh but I did" I say proudly "Why?" He stops laughing "I'll tell you why when I get home" I inform him "Alright, call me or text me when you get to there" He says "I will" I nod "Bye Bri" He says bye to me before hanging up "Bye Marshie" I smile at the nickname "Bye Mrs Lyon" My mom smiles "Bye sweetie, kiss Hailie, Alaina, Whitney and Bella for me" She giggles "I will" Marshall says "Soooo no bye for me" Mindy says annoyed "No" Marshall hangs up the phone "Are we nearly there yet?" Mom looks over at me and smiles "Yeah we are close" She nods "Okay" I close my eyes and drift off to sleep
