So, this is my first time posting stories on here, but not my first time writing fanfiction. You'll see me using lyrics to set a mood or tone for a chapter sometimes, so I hope you don't mind. Enjoy!

♪♫ You can't see me behind the door, I just heard everything you said. You tell him, you're saying, all those things you used to say to me. Who is he? I never thought you'd drop that avalanche on me, and be unfaithful. These hotel walls are paper thin, I'm going out ♫♪
As the years went by, Hannah Marie found it harder and harder to have time to go visit the Frightside in Autumn. But this year, Scary had made her promise to make it to the Halloween Party. 'It's a special Halloween!' she had said, 'You HAVE to come! Orson would be disappointed if you didn't!' She, of course, had to bring Orson into it. How else was she going to get Hannah to come? The brunette sat at her desk in Homeroom, her pen clicking away on the notebook in front of her to the song playing in her ears.

She still held the princess motif that she had from birth, but it was a lot different now. She was sixteen, almost seventeen so she was basically an adult, and she left behind those things when she left behind her training bras. Her hair was still the curly brown it had always been and her brown eyes were just as big, but lined with a generous amount of liquid eyeliner. She traded in her pink tutus for purple striped tights and oversized t-shirts or big black sweaters.
♪♫ Throw it back behind my lips, the pain is gone. Line 'em up and knock 'em down, the night goes on and on and on to let me cope with this disaster ♫♪
The bell rang signaling the start of Homeroom, but instead of quieting down like the other students usually did, there was still some chatter. Looking up from her doodle of Scary Godmother, Hannah's eyes fell on the form of someone she had never seen before.
The new woman was tall and curvy. But in a very proper way. She held her head just so, her long almost white-blonde hair twirled up on her head in an oversized bun. Her eyes were so grey, they were almost purple and the way she seemed to stare right into Hannah's soul, made her very uneasy.
♪♫ I'm seven deep. Her brown hair and blue eyes, looking right at me. Who is she? I never thought I'd ever think of stepping out. I'll fight this temptation; This crowded bar is full of sin, I'm going out ♫♪
She was dressed similarly to Hannah, with black leggings and an oversized maroon sweater with a band symbol on it that she recognised very well - Silverstein. It was one of her favourites, and she could see it was one of the new girl's favourites as well.

"Take the seat beside Hannah, Elysia," Mrs. Brown said sweetly, "I'll be doing roll in just a moment."

Elysia was looking upon the classroom in soft disdain, but at the teacher's words, she made her way through the murmuring students and sat down at her assigned desk. Taking out her leather-bound sketchbook and a mechanical pencil, she resigned herself to sketching away as the teacher called names.
♪♫ I'm not coming home tonight, I'd rather sleep on the street. I'm not coming home to you, I won't sleep with the devil ♫♪
"Hannah Robinson?"
The brown-haired girl beside her raised her hand, "Here!"
Elysia's eyes flicked over to the girl next to her, taking in her form and her choice of attire. She supposed she would get along with her.
"Elysia Silvers?" the teacher called.
She looked up from Hannah to the teacher, "Present."
All around her, she could feel the stares and the thoughts of all of the students in the classroom. Her accent wasn't that noticeable. She hoped.
It was at this point that Hannah took out her earbuds to pay more attention, and spent the rest of the class staring at the newcomer.
Elysia had this aura about her. It was dark, yet quietly warming. Charming and silent. She took notes diligently and knew every answer to every question like it was nothing. Throughout the period, Hannah learned that Elysia preferred to be called Elsy and that her family was from France.
When they had about 10 minutes left, the teacher let them stop and get ready for their next period. The moments Elysia closed her notebook, the boy in front of her turned around.
"Hey, Elsy. Is it true that French people greet each other by kissing?"
"Well, yes. But not..."
"Then why don't you pucker up, sweet cheeks? We've got plenty of people you can kiss here," he interrupted, and then immediately started making kissing sounds with his lips.
Before Elysia could throw back her hand to slap the peasant, Hannah stood up and hit him on the back of his head.
"Hey, Marcus. If you're gonna do that, you might as well bend over and kiss my ass. You'll have better luck with that."
The teacher either didn't hear it or didn't care and Marcus turned back around, red as a tomato.
Scooching her desk closer to Elsy's, she smiled, "I'm Hannah, pleased to meet you."
"Thank you, for that. I would have slapped him otherwise," Elysia said softly.
Hannah nodded, "I figured as much. "Anyway, what classes do you have? Maybe we share some?"
Taking out the paper from her pocket, she lay it out on the desk in front of her.
"So we just finished AP English," Hannah began, "And we have the next class together; AP US History. After that, I have Algebra 2/Trigonometry and you have... Calculus? Ew."
Elysia laughed, "I'm thinking of stopping it. I don't need 4 advanced classes. I'd like to enjoy my time here, and I already have all of my math credits from my previous school. I think I'm going to take Creative Writing and then next semester, take Ceramics."
"I wish I could take Creative things instead of Math. Ugh. Anyway, after that, we both have AP Studio and Art, and then lunch.
Elysia nodded in agreement and tucked her feet beneath her, "After lunch, I have a study hall and you have French. Ooh! I would like to sit in on that!"
"I'll see if it's okay!"
"Wonderful."
"After that, there is double Chemistry, and we both have that. And at the end of the day, we both have a study hall. Wonder if Mr. DiStefano will let me show you around during the last period. I don't see why not."
The bell rang for the next period before Hannah could finish her thought process, and everyone was rushing out the door.
Packing up her things, Elysia smiled to herself.
Mission Accomplished.
