Nooo!

Cameron's POV
I look down at the ground and see Emily laying on the floor holding her stomach. I run over to her and kneel down by her side. There was a pool of blood right next to her.

"Em, Em stay with me you're ok can you hear me?" She nods.

"I'm so sorry Emily I'm so so sorry!" I say sobbing. She puts her hand on my cheek and rubs it.

"I-it's ok" she barely gets out. That's when two paramedics come with a gurney.

"I-I lo-love y-you" I look at her.

"I love you too" I kiss her forehead and step away as the paramedics put her on the gurney. They get her into the ambulance and drive off to the hospital.

I wanted to see her but I couldn't because the cops had to ask us all questions.
How did the cops get here anyways.

"Mom how did the cops get here"

"I called them after I called you and told them not to come in until you got here."

"So they just waited outside" I said kind of pissed off that they didn't come in sooner.

"Yes" she said quietly. She walked towards the cops and left me standing in the living room alone. Lauren could see the pain in my eyes as she walked over to me and put her hand on my arm.

"Hey she's going to be okay."

"You don't know that" she hugged me and I stayed there frozen still in shock of everything that happened. I see the coroner put my dad's body in a body bag. It all just happened so quickly.

We were now at the hospital in the waiting room waiting to hear the news on Emily. Mom, Rebecca, Karen, and even Lauren were all here with me. The doctor comes out.

"Any news?" I say quietly.

"I'm sorry but the bullet went straight through her aorta at the bottom of her heart. I'm sorry but" right when he said that I fell to the floor sobbing uncontrollably. I can't believe she's gone. I can't believe I let this happen.

"Nooooo!!!" I yell making nurses look at me with sad eyes. Lauren kneels down beside me and just holds me. I hug her tight and pull on her shirt crying on her shoulder.

"Shhh it's ok let it all out Cam" she whispered in my ear rubbing me back. The doctor went away and I was just left there crying in Lauren's arms.

As the week slowly went by we told Emily's parents what had happened and they told us it wasn't our fault and invited us to the funeral. I haven't talked to Lauren since the hospital but I'm glad I haven't seen her.

The funeral is in two days and I can't stop replaying everything that happened. What worries me more is that I keep having nightmares where the gun is pointed at me and right before I wake up my dad pulls the trigger.

I was at the mall with Stacey and Rebecca cause we all have to shop for nice dresses for the funeral. Well not Stacey but she asked if she could come and we said yes.

As we were walking through the mall I see that beautiful brown eyed angel walking with some guy. They were holding hands and laughing. Then they kissed and for some reason it hurt a lot.

I could just feel my heart shatter. I know I shouldn't be thinking of Lauren in that way but I just can never move on. My sister sees me looking in that direction and squeezes my arm.

"Hey you okay?"

"I dunno" I look down.

"Ok let's go somewhere else" I nod my head and we walk into a store.

Lauren's POV
As I was walking through the mall with Dylan I see Cam and her sister walk into a store with her friend. I really hope she didn't see us. I keep covering up my feelings with Dylan but truth is I miss her so much.

I feel bad for her too cause she just lost that Emily girl. But if I'm being completely honest I'm also kind of happy she's out of the picture I just wish it didn't involve death.

"Hey babe wanna go get Starbucks?"

"Sure" we walk into the Starbucks at the mall and sit down. He gets us out drinks and comes over to the table.

"Thanks Dylan" he smiles and nods. I just wish it was with Cameron.

Day of funeral

Cameron's POV
Today is the day of Emily's funeral. Her hometown is actually in Kentucky so we are driving there right now.

The funeral starts at 3:00 and it's 10:30 am with a 4 hour drive we are making good time. I can't believe I have to go to Emily's funeral it kills me too cause this is my fault.

We finally arrive in Kentucky and we go to the church. We are all dressed up and we walk in.

After the service we went back to her parents house. I said hello to them and they said hi back.

"Hey Cameron right do you mind if I speak with you for a second?"

"No not at all Mrs Richardson" I get up from the chair and walk over to her.

"I just wanted to say thank you for making my Emily happy"

"Oh of course Mrs Richardson she made me happy too"

"Yes well except she did complain about that Lauren girl" I looked at her confused and shocked.

"Lauren?"

"Yes she said she was your ex."

"Yea why did she complain about her?"

"Well she said that anyone could tell that you're still in love with her" I had a saddened expression on my face.

"Oh" I said softly.

"Yes she said that she loves you but you love her but that you made her happy no matter what. I appreciate you for not hurting my baby girl no matter how much it hurt you."

"Of course Mrs Richardson"

"Please call me Marly"

"Of course Marly" she smiled.

"Now I'm going to say what she would have said to you" I looked at her confused again.

"Go get your girl back" I smiled widely at her.

"Thank you Marly" she smiled back but I could tell there was still sadness in her eyes. I hugged her and she hugged me back. I will never forget Emily. She was a great friend and girlfriend.

After the whole funeral and service my family drove back to tennessee. Let's hope Lauren will take me back.
