The meet

Cameron's POV
8:30 am

I wake up to my alarm going off. I groan and turn it off as I start to get up. After brushing my teeth I head downstairs where my sister, my mom, and Karen are eating breakfast.

"Morning sweetheart, would you like some pancakes?" Mom says smiling at me.
I nod my head and start to walk to the table where everyone is sitting. She hands me a plate with pancakes and blueberries on it.

"Hey I have to go to the grocery store later today would you guys like me to get you anything?" Karen asks.

"Oh me and Rebecca could do it for you. It's the least we could do since your letting us stay here" I say.

"Oh thank you sweetheart I appreciate that" she smiles warmly.
After breakfast me and Rebecca got dressed for the day. I changed into black ripped jeans, a white shirt that says Polaroid on it and a black and red flannel wrapped around my waist. Soon me and Rebecca headed downstairs and got into the car.

"Hey so do you know what Karen wanted us to get her?" I ask Rebecca.

"Yea she gave me this list while you were getting ready"

She hands me the list. Soon we arrived to the grocery store. As we were walking through aisle six I spot this long brown haired girl vlogging on her phone. She turns to face my direction. Wow she is gorgeous. She has these beautiful brown eyes that I could get lost in forever.

"Hey sis you're drooling" Rebecca laughs.
I roll my eyes and punch her arm. Yes I'm gay and my family is totally supportive which I love about them.

"Hey you should go talk to her"

"No way she's straight as a pole not to mention don't I have to help you with getting the stuff for Karen?"

"I'm pretty sure I can handle this. I'm serious go" Rebecca then shoves me hard and I bump right into the girl. We both end up falling and all her stuff falls out of her basket. Thank goodness nothing was glass.

"Omg I am so sorry. I really have to watch where I'm going. Are you ok?" I ask starting to stand up. The brunette girl nods her head as I reach to help her up.

"Again I am so sorry I didn't see you there, are you sure you're ok?"

"Yea" she says shyly.

I bend down and start putting her stuff back into the basket.

"Hey look I feel really bad let me pay for your groceries" I plead.

"No,no really it's fine you don't need to pay for my groceries"

"No seriously let me pay for them" I say almost begging.
She finally nods agreeing and we start to walk to the checkout. We end up going to the self checkout line. I start scanning her groceries while she stands there. I finally pay and put the bags into the basket.

"Here let me help you bring these to your car"
She nods once again slightly blushing this time. We start walking towards the parking lot.

"Hey I never got your name. Mine is Cameron but most people call me Cam"

"Lauren"

"That's a pretty name"
Lauren's cheek turn a light shade of red as we keep walking. We finally reach her car and she opens the trunk. I start packing the bags away.
She starts helping me put them away. Ok now or never. It's simple just slightly ask her on a date.

"Hey look I still feel bad for knocking you over, is there any chance I could make it up to you by buying you coffee sometime?"
She thinks for a second then smiles and nods. Yessss! We finish packing away her bags.

"Well I'll see when we get coffee" I start to walk away when she says my name. I turn around and look at the beautiful angel standing in front of me.

"Yea?" I ask.

"We can't get coffee if I don't have your number" she says smirking.
Damn it Cam that's like the most important part.

"Right sorry" I start to walk back to her as she lightly laughs. I hand her phone while she hands me her's. We say goodbye again as I look at the contact in my phone.

I smile and shut my phone off as I start walking back to the car. I see my sister there smirking in the drivers seat.

"So how'd it go" she says wiggling her eyebrows.

"Shut up"

"Hey you wouldn't have her number without me so show me some respect"
I roll my eyes as my sister starts the car. We drive off back to Karen's house.

Time skip to later that evening

I am currently sitting at the desk in my new room drawing a picture of the scenery outside my window. Drawing has always been my favorite. So has acting and filming. Anything to do with the arts really. Soon I see my phone buzz and look at the contact, I smile once I see it's Lauren.

Lauren🧡🧡: Hey

Me: Hey yourself

Lauren🧡🧡: weirdo anyways are we still on for coffee

Me: Yea of course when do you want to meet

Lauren🧡🧡: Yea does tomorrow at 10:00 work?

Me: Yea do you know any good coffee shops around here?

Lauren🧡🧡: Yea there's a Starbucks not to far from where I live I can send you the address

Me: Cool sounds great see you tomorrow

Lauren🧡🧡: Night

Me: Night

I turn off my phone and start to get ready for bed. I put on basketball shorts and a t-shirt. I walk over to my bed and turn off the lamp. I start to fall asleep thinking about how tomorrow is going to be great.
