Darkness.
That was the only thing Four could see. He slowly opened his eyes, and glanced around at the void he was placed in. He was used to the feeling of isolation, but it still felt unsettling for him. It was comforting, yet nervracking.
Four had been experiencing the same dream sequence for several years. They usually happened when Four was stressed or upset, which was most of the time. He began experiencing these nightmares when he was a pre-teen and when he first got his powers.
A wonderful mixture to create trauma.
He sat in the darkness, pulling his knees up to his chest. He put his chin on his knees, and just sat with his hands touching the ground.
Four waited for something to happen, since he was never sure if the dreams would turn to horific nightmares. But waiting was boring, when there was nothing for him to think about.
Thump.
Four's head perked up, and he turned his head to where the noise was. He turned his body to look behind himself. The object caught his attention.
A door.
That's new.
Where'd the door come from. Four had never seen that artifact in his dreams, ever.
He slowly got up and slightly bushed his legs. He began to walk towards the door, and suddenly stopped. He was about five feet away from the door, and he felt a wierd sensation coming from behind him. It felt like someone was stalking him, waiting for what he would do next.
Four whipped his body around to find the cause of the sensation. He quickly adjusted his body in a defensive position, staring into the darkness.
"Who's there!?"
Silence.
Four lowered his defensive stance, and went back to standing normally. He let out a soft sigh, and turned around to face the door again.
The door was gone.
"Wha-" Four whispered under his breath. He could have sworn there was a door there. Where could it have gone? He began to search the area that he was able to see. He checked several times, searching for the door.
Nothing.
"Ooookay, this is weird," Four said quietly. He continued to look around, and soon saw an orange figure standing in the distance. Four's face shaped into one of confusion, "What is that?"
Four slowly began to approach the figure, still weary of them. As he made his way over to the mysterious figure, he felt his vision begin to blur. "Darn eyes," he muttered quietly, putting his hand up to his eyes.
He looked back up to see the figure turned around, with a crooked smile on their face. Four's eyes began to spiral rapidly, and he began to morph, his teeth getting shape, and his fingers turning to claws. He stared directly at the figure, and began to run at it.
Four could not control himself at the time. He charged at full speed, preparing to slash at the figure. He had to kill them, but he did not know the reason why.
The figure seemed to notice, and swiftly got out of the way. Four tried to slash them, but fell over as a result of them moving. They then walked over to Four with heavy footsteps. Four quickly turned around, and tried to prepare a laser to hit them with. The figure prepared the laser first, and Four felt the burning sensation of his own laser on his bare flesh. He screamed in pain, and felt his skin burn away, evaporating with the laser.

"C'mon, Four, wake up. It's morning."
Four's eyes shot open and he gasped out of shock. He shot up off the couch and flopped off the floor. He felt his back pop when he fell on the floor, and Two was still flashing a light in his eyes. Four was able to figure out that it was the flashlight he made for Two a while ago, seeing as in the light changing colors.
