A soft breeze glided into the room of the small yellow variable. X was sleeping in a crooked position and hugging one of his pillows. The soft breeze finally met up with his skin, causing him to twitch a little bit in response. He squeaked softly and fluttered his eyes open. The sun gently touched his face, and he managed to push himself out of bed.

X's door quietly creaked open. I soft hum came from behind the door along with some quiet steps entering his room. "Good morning Cross. Did you sleep well?"

The yellow x rubbed his eyes sleepily and shifted his legs off of the bed so they could dangle.

"Uh- yeah, I guess. Had a pretty weird dream, but that's it. Why are you in my room?"

"I'm cleaning the house today. Your father already left for work, so it's just me. I figured I would get you up so you could clean up a little bit in here."

"Oh."

The older x turned her head towards his wall with the window. The breeze was calm, but noticeable, causing her to perk one of her eyebrows up. "Why is the window open? Was it like that all night?"

"It is?" X turned his head to his wall. The curtains were swaying and window was open after all. Quickly, he responded to his mom's question. "Uh-um. . . yeah! It was hot last night, so I uh. . . opened it. I guess I forgot to close it, sorry," X lied. He touched his two index fingers together in an innocent way hoping that it would turn his mom away from thinking he was lying.

The orange x looked at her son with slight disbelief. Her glance made X worry, but she ended up shrugging it off. "Well, okay. Just remember to close the window next time. And since you are up, I'll be going. Breakfast is downstairs when you feel hungry."

"Alright, Mom. See you later!"

The orange x exchanged a warm smile with her yellow son. She turned around and closed the door slightly upon her exit. X was now left alone in his room with the sound of the breeze blowing though his window.

His attention was soon brought back to the swaying curtains and the slightly opened window. Why was his window open? He had assumed originally that his mom was to blame for it, but he dropped it once she asked him the same question. He began to think about what happened last night.

Well, after I ended my call with Y, the purple crescent cat was still next to me. I turned off my tablet and placed it on my nightstand. It was late, so I decided go to bed. The cat was still in my room at the time, but they were not here now. Did-

Did the cat open the window to leave my room?

X stopped what he was doing for a second. Could a crescent cat even open a window? How strong would it need to be? Was X just over-analyzing the situation? The thoughts continued to flow until he shook his head to clear his mind. It was a stupid thought. Despite the questions, he clumsily got up and shut it lazily anyway.

Just then, his phone made a soft hum. He turned on his heel to face the flat electrical device. The screen was lit up. He walked over and picked it up, scanning though the notifications on his phone. Most of them had to do with his stories that he liked to post; they usually gained a positive reaction. However, one text he received that morning was a tad bit different from the others he normally got. The number was one that was not registered in his phone.

Unknown ##: Hello, X, this is D-B One (the blue one from school). I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out today. You know, hang out with a few friends and I. Of course you do not have to, but please respond to this text. Thanks!

X blinked. He was confused on two things about this text message. He clicked on the reply button and decided to have a conversation with this expression.
