"All three of you, up against the car." I try to turn around but i get slammed to the door. "What's your problem?!" I yell. Clem looks terrified. I can't even comfort her.
"We're going to check you for weapons. If i don't feel any, you have to let us know where they are. Don't be stupid cause yall aint goin no where." My heart beats as im patted down for weapons by the sound of what it seems like a red neck.
The sound of metal hitting the floor signifies my gun and knife has been taken away. "Turn around slowly. Make a damn mistake i won't stop to blow your brains out." His voice is stern.
Slowly, like he says, we turn around. I stand corrected. In front of me stands a red neck with an asian guy and a girl who he holds close.
"Look man, we don't want any trouble. We don't have anything to eat and are just trying to gather supplies." Luke decides to make them feel sorry for us.
"I didn't ask you what you were doing." He points an arrow at him while im pointed by the asian kid. Clem has the benefit of being a child where a fun doesn't get pointed at her. Just at the one's she loves. the guy in front of me doesn't look like he wants to do this.
With a silence filling the air, the cross bow man breaks it "yall got any more weapons we don't know bout?" I slowly crouch to my boot.
"AY! I didn't say move! It's a yes or no question." He breaths in my face.
"I have a knife in my left boot. Clem has-"
'She has nothing." I look over at Luke. "I have two guns in the car and the rest of the weapons are the oned you three decided to take away."
This red neck thinks it's a joke. "You" he points at me. "Finish what you were bout to say." I look nervously at all of them with my hands shaking and starting to sweat. Compared to them, they look clean. Like they have a settle place. And us? We are covered in dirt and blood. Add some extra sweat.
"I asked you a question." He snarls again pointing the cross bow closer.
"She has a knife in her right boot. That's all we have." He pulls it out and the girl gathers all our weapons and puts them into their bags. Our weapons in their bags?
"Hey what the hell are you doing?" Luke asks in shock.
The asian takes charge this time. "How many walkers have you killed?"
He waits for an answer from all three of us. Really, who can keep count? You just kill as you go.
"We don't know. It's been to many." Clem speaks for us.
Again with another question, he asks.
"How many people have you killed?" He looks at Luke first. It's almost my turn to answer his question and i can feel the sweat start drip even more.
"Three." Luke says quietly. He looks at Clem but stares at her deeply.
"Why?"
"The people i was with were murderers. So i left. "
He nods hishead.
"You?"
I look at her and see a tear in her eye. "One." My heart aches as i discover this new information from them. Especially Clem."
"Why?" Her tears begin to fall fast. "He asked me to." That's all she said. Her tears fall more rapidly and as it comes to my turn, my breathing becomes uneven.
"How many?" He asks. I can't. I start to shake in my hands, knees, anywhere. You name it. I just wish i don't have to tell people about what I've done. How many or how i killed them. But that's too late.
"Not gonna talk?" The man with the cross bow asks interested. I shake my head.
"W-what does it matter in this world?" I bite my lip nervously.
"Bag em'" He demands.
And all I see after that is the fear inside me.
