Tony found Peter sitting on the edge of a building a few blocks from the Parkers' apartment. He was not surprised to see tear tracks staining the kid's cheeks. I mean, his aunt had just died, what did he expect?

The billionaire flew over to him, and the closer he got, he could see his puffy, red eyes, and could hear him choking.

"Oh, kid..." Tony said to himself, sadly. Peter was usually such a happy kid, and now he wasn't sure if he would be happy again. His aunt meant everything to him.

"Underoos?"

Peter looked up, hardly acknowledging the man before him. He just burst into fresh new tears, hiding his face in his hands.

Tony picked the teenager up, bridal style, swung Peter's backpack, which by the sound of it, was full of school books, onto his back. Peter had his suit in his pocket. He flew back to the Avengers Compound, while Peter quickly fell asleep in his arms.

"This kid has no one, apart from me. And I will do anything it takes to make him happy again." Tony thought.

Tony knew that the Avengers would be there when he got back, because they were in the middle of watching a movie. They heard the call. They were all there. They knew Peter was Spider-man, and they were all very fond of him. But he could really do without the questions right now.

As soon as Tony stepped out of the lift, he saw all of them - Natasha, Steve, Thor, Wanda, Clint, Vision, Sam, and Bucky - sat tensely on the couch, as if they were waiting for the news.

They heard the metal clunks of the Iron Man suit on the floor, and they all turned around, their faces paling at the sight of the broken boy in Tony's arms.

"Give me a minute. I'll explain everything."

He took the boy to his room, in which he stayed when he was at the Compound. The kid looked exhausted and pale, and it killed Tony to know that Peter was in pain. All he wants is for Peter to be okay.

He walked back to the living quarters, and was almost immediately drowning in questions.

"Is he okay?"

"What's happened?"

"Is he hurt?"

"He's okay. Well, physically, he is, emotionally, no. His aunt was shot. She's his last living family member - he has no where to go."

The team was horrified, and were extremely sorry for Peter, as they could not imagine what he was currently going through.

"What are you gonna do, Tony?" Nat asked, whilst picking at her nails.

"I'm going to adopt him."
