Peter heard it before it happened. The building began to crumble, and Peter just couldn't hold it up anymore.

The support beams had collapsed long ago, and Peter was currently balancing a three story warehouse on his back.

But it was getting too much. He couldn't hold on much longer. It was about to fall completely, meaning it would crush Peter beneath it.

All of a sudden, a rush of falling concrete could be heard, along with the screams of a sixteen year old boy.

𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐏.

Peter couldn't believe that he was actually still breathing. I mean, it wasn't every day that you got crushed by a building a lived to tell the tale.

"Karen? C-call M-Mr S-Stark."

"Calling Mr Stark."

"Underoos? You alright? It's quite late. Shouldn't you be at Homecoming?"

"I'm sorry, Mr Stark."

"Why are you sorry, kid?"

"It fell on me. I couldn't hold it up anymore. It hurts," Peter sobbed into the phone, which was surprisingly still intact.

"What happened?"

"I-it h-happened so fast..."

"Peter?" What happened?"

"Peter!"

The phone fell out of Peter's grasp as his vision began to fade.

𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐏.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

Peter could hear machines. Lots of them. He jolted up in bed to find out he was in the Med bay.

"Woah, woah, woah, kiddo. Relax. You're safe, now," Mr Stark said, who jumped up from the seat next to the hospital bed as soon as Peter woke up.

"What happened?" Peter's voice broke as he asked.

"The building fell on you kid. You're lucky to be alive. You almost didn't make it."

"How long was I out?"

"Only a few days. The team wants to see you. Can I send them in?"

Peter nodded, as he sunk back into the bed.

He heard the door open and he turned on his side to see Natasha, Steve, Thor, Clint, Bucky, and Wanda.

"Oh Peter, thank God you're alright. We were worried," Wanda said. Peter considered Wanda as an older sister, and he loved her very much.

Peter smiled at them.

"I'm as good as new. Thanks to Bruce."

Natasha glanced at him from the corner of the room, which was where she was stood.

"Pete? We're sorry to ask so soon. But what happened?" she said to him.

"I-I don't really remember much. One minute the building was balancing on my back. Next minute, it was collapsing. I don't remember anything else."

Bucky nodded.

"We're extremely proud of you. We can't believe you managed to actually hold up the building. That's really impressive, kid," said Steve.

Peter gave him a weak smile.

"Well, we're glad you're alright, and we're here if you need anything. We'll leave you with Tony," Clint uttered from behind Wanda.

Suddenly, before he knew it, Peter was engrossed in a large group hug. He softened up after a few seconds. He loved his family.

And then they got up and left, and Tony walked back in.

"So, what do you want for lunch?" Tony asked.

"Pizza!"
