We got up as early as we could. God, I'm so tired, can't stand getting up before 12. Welp, sooner the better.
We ate breakfast in the kitchen. It just like the food before it still sucked but at least it was the last meal here. Why didn't we just get food on the way home?
Whatever. We finished our food but it took 30 forevers for my parents to stop talking to the old lady. How hard is it to say bye? Just hug, kiss, say thanks then hit the road.
Finally, we were hitting the road, can't stand being here any longer. I can't finally sleep all day, be on my laptop, play games and not have to worry about anything els-
"STOP RIGHT THERE!"
...
A man... Dressed in a black suit, pointing a gun at us. I felt ghost cold... In shock. I can't feel anything."No... Please! W-well give you anything you want! Please don't hurt my son!"
"Clarissa! Get them in the car."
"Yes, Sir."
Clarissa, holding a gun. I've never seen my parents so terrified.
"Clarissa... Oh god, what is going on!? What are you doing!?"
All she gave was a blank stare.
"Wait... Dr. Wilmington? Oh no."
"Indeed. You have unfinished business. Get in the car."
We get in the car. Dad drives our car with Clarissa pointing the gun at him.
Mom is crying while I'm next to her still in shock. We follow the man in the suit. We all stay in silence.
It took us hours to get there. We end up in the middle of nowhere. Just desert. We all get out of the car and walk to the rest of the way.
An hour after we start walking the man in the suit starts to have a coughing fit.
"Pills. Now!"
Clarissa hands the man the pills and a water bottle.
Mom looks at me holding my face.
"Baby, listen to me, please. No matter what happens just know that I and your father love you and we're sorry that this happened."I stayed quiet, but tears rolled down my eyes. I was scared and confused. Why is this happing?
We finally get to this big building. Wait... That's the factory Mom and Dad worked at. Why...
It was loud when we reached the entrance. Full of voices and animal noises. My heart starts racing.
The man steps up some stairs.
Just before he opened the doors he said he would make a special announcement."AHEM. Ladies and Gentlemen, please give me your attention!
As you all know, there is unfinished work to be done about the event that happened over almost 2 decades ago! Well! The ones that were apart of that extraordinarily heinous act have finally returned to clean the mess up! After such a long time, they will need to do... A little more work than anyone else here has! If they don't apply to do so, well we all know. There is no word to describe the punishment they should receive. If I see another here that would display a disgusting act, I will deal with the matters personally!
This has been a special announcement! That is all!"After he steps down, he looks at Clarissa.
"Please take the boy to the playroom with that girl.""NO! Please don't hurt him! Please!"
"SHUT UP YOU. Unless you'd like for him to do some... Volunteer work."
"Hal, please! He's okay, let him go."
I didn't want to leave there side but there was no way possible that I could even if I wanted to. We walked into a hallway. We reached a door that said "Play Room".
"This room is for the worker's children to stay here. Now behave and don't cause trouble.""I'm not a child! Why are you doing this to us!? Didn't My parents trust you!?"
"I don't have time for misbehavior! You will get any food if this continues, now SIT!"
She pushes me in the room locking the door behind me. I banged on the door cursing. I felt sick. Mom... Dad... Please be okay. Please...
I sit down on the floor against the wall. I'm cold. There's nothing in here... Who's that?
Oh... It's a girl. She's laying against the wall on the other side of the room. She's dressed in one of those hospital clothes. She's asleep
Why is she here?
