I don't like to get out much, not even to the park or go on a simple walk. I'm not afraid of going out or anything, not like I have bad anxiety or I don't like to talk to anyone. It's just pretty much what I like to do every day; not like I got anything else going on.

Well, is what I would be saying if I wasn't going back to public school, because now that's pretty much what I got that's going on. My sister is yelling at me by the door.

"Hurry up big brother! We are gonna be late, and on the first day! What's taking you so loooonnnggg?!

"Sorry geez, I was just finding my shoe. Calm down Maria."

"Well, we are BOTH going to be late if we don't hurry! You heard what Mom said."

"Your School's like five minutes away, mines like ten minutes longer. I still got an hour."

She looked at me kind of confused. I forgot she doesn't know how to tell time yet.

"Oh uh, sorry never mind. You're right lets hurry." I say as we walk out the door.

"Don't forget to-"

"Yeah, yeah. 'Don't forget to lock it'. I lock it the front door with the key Dad gave me. Mom and Dad are out working at this time.

So yeah, I decided to go back to school. Not the same one as before though, obviously. Maria was able to get a teacher of her own during the summer, and she learned almost everything she needed to know before public school started. I hope they don't push her too hard at school. Even Elementary school was hard for me then.

We stopped to get some ice-cream on the way. That made time run go by faster than expected.

We made it to the front of Maria's school. She was holding my hand and shaking. There was her teacher she had over the summer standing there waving to her, Maria smiled as she waved back.

"Hey." I get on my knee to talk to Maria. "You nervous?" She nods her head looking to the side. "Don't be. . . I mean its okay to be nervous I guess. But don't worry about anything. Here." I say as I reach into my bag.

"It's not the same exact book. . .or the same story, but I'm sure you'll like it. I read this when I was a kid." I hold out a book I read when I was her age. It was about a kid who learned about being a hero, or about being fine the way you are? I don't remember but I read it a lot for the pictures.

"Thank you Ren!" Maria took and looked at the book and smiled. She put the book in her backpack and walked to her teacher. She looked back at me and waved. They walked into the school.

. . . oh shoot. Classes start in 5 minutes.
