Chapter 12

Clarke's POV

I walked out of the Ark and smiled. It's been 2 years since we all realized that fighting and killing each other wasn't the way to survive. Our clans came together as one. We accepted that we are different and that we can love whoever we want.

"Hey! What are you thinking about?" Raven asked as she draped her arms around me. I smiled as I leaned into her.

"Just thinking about how far we've come. It feels more clam and peaceful when nobody is fighting!" I exclaimed happily. Raven laughed and kissed my temple. We started dating a few months after Finn died. She forgave me and was still upset at first, but we worked it out and had been together ever since.

"Well, if it wasn't for you bringing hope to everyone, we'd all be right were we were from the beginning. You made people see the hope and that is what gave them the hope to accept the other clans." Raven said. I looked up at her as she looked at me. I stared at her eyes, then shifted down to her lips.

"I love you, you know that right?" I asked with love. She kissed me hard and wrapped me up in her arms as she hugged me.

"I love you to babe." She said. We sat there for a while.

"CLARKEEEE!!!!! Heelllpppp!" I heard someone yell. Me and Raven ran to where the person screamed and I saw Malik crying.

"What's wrong? What happen?" Raven asked. He pointed in the direction of the woods.

We looked up and saw his daughter standing there with a gun to her head.

"Olivia, sweetheart, please put the gun down." Malik cried out. He went to go forward but I stopped him.

"Let me try to talk to her." I said. I turned towards Olivia. I raised my hands in the air as I was slowly stepping forward.

"Stop! Don't come any further!" Olivia cried out. She had tears streaming from her eyes.

"Olivia, what's wrong? You can talk to me." I told her. She cried harder. She turned her head towards the sky.

"I miss my mommy. I want to see my mom again." She said. My heart broke. I slowly walked to her.

"I know you miss your mommy, but your father needs you here too! Please put down the gun!" I pleaded to her. She cocked the gun.

"I just want to go see my mom! Why can't I go see her?" She yelled. Malik was crying in Raven's arm as he looked at his daughter.

"Sweetly I know you miss your mom, but she will always be here for you." I said as I made my way towards her and put my arm over her heart. She was hesitating.

"How do you know that?" She asked me. I smiled sadly at her.

"Because my dad is here with me." I said as I put my other hand over my own heart. She looked towards her dad.

"I'm sorry!" She cried out as she threw the gun. Malik ran and hugged her as they cried together.

Raven came to me. She had tears in her eyes. I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed as I let out a sob. We left Malik and Olivia alone so they can talk.

Later that night:

It was around "dinner time" as we like to call it down here. We had meat and nuts with water.

Raven and I sat down. I wen to take a bite out of my food when I felt someone tap my arm. I turned around and saw Malik and Olivia.

"I wanted to thank you Clarke! You saved my little girl's life. I don't know how I'll ever repay you." He said. I smiled at him and hugged Olivia.

"The only way you can repay me is by being there for her when she needs you. I'm glad I talked to her to get her mind off of it." I said with a smile. Malik smiled at me.

"I promise you I will!" He said as they walked away. I felt Raven lay her head on my shoulder.

"See babe? I told you everyone believes in you. They get their hope from you!" She said happily. I turned and smiled at her. I kissed her and payed my head on her shoulder.

We are our food with our friends and family. The rest of the night was a fun time as we all laughed and joked around with each other. I looked around at everyone and smiled at how far we've come.  I wouldn't trade this life for any other.
