Chapter 16 {The invitation)

The next day, Mordecai and Rigby had to work and move back at the park home. This sadden Mordecai a bit since he won't be seeing Panda alot, but at the same time he was relieved. After the "midnight kiss" and the "movie moment", it was getting harder to act normal around him. He still had a bit of denial in him. What if, Panda doesn't even like him and he's just being friends with him. What if he hurts Panda? the thought of doing do made him sick to his stomach. It can't happen...he cant hurt someone he loves agian.

The Next day, they just got done with their shift and they decided to play video games in the afternoon. Mordecai wasn't focused, he wasn't depressed or upset like last time. He was in deep thought of thinking of a certain some bear, thinking and denying the feelings he had for him. Unfortunately, Rigby caught on since he was winning for once.

Rigby: Dude whats on your mind this time?
Mordecai: What do you mean?
Rigby: Well for one, im actually winning, so spill it
Mordecai:...You think i blew it with Panda?
Rigby: You did?
Mordecai: Well i...i cant Rigby, its just so awkward being with him, heak we were watching a Movie and it got weird at the end and he didn't talk to me after that....and i couldn't even say goodbye to him when we left...i don't even know if im supposed to like him. I just cant like him
Rigby: Because he's a guy?
Mordecai: What!? No! its because...i don't want to fall in love agian just to have another break up. I will hurt him in some way and i don't wanna hurt him, hes really...nice.
Rigby:Well dude, im not an expert at this. all i can say is tell him how you feel.
Mordecai: what if i don't want to. This might be a little crush and it will blow over soon. Mabye we can stay as just friends
Rigby: You know that isn't the awnser, stop being a wuss and man up.
Mordecai: Mabye you're right...Im going there to confess, no holding back!
Rigby: Go get him man! Oh also remember to invite him and his brothers for Guys Night!
Mordecai: Good idea!

Mordecai left the house feeling confident for once. As he left though he started over thinking agian, he thought of many different scenerios in his head. Just then he bumped into someone.

Mordecai: Ah! Sorry du- Panda?
Panda: Uh hey..
Mordecai: What are you doing here? Not that it was a bad thing..
Panda: Well, you left one of your shirts in my room and i wanted to give it back

Panda gave him a folded shirt, it was the "Mordecai and The Rigby's" shirt. Mordecai took the shirt and inspected it, he smiled sheeply at the small bear.

Mordecai: Thanks
Panda: Y-Yeah, Ice Bear cleaned it for you so...yea. Anywho where were you going?
Mordecai: Oh, i was going to see you because i wanted to tell you something
Panda: Really?
Mordecai: Yeah!, uh...

Mordecai thought for a bit, He inhaled then he let his words do the rest.

Mordecai:Do you wanna join Guys Night. Its gonna happen on a Friday night and it will be fun! Also your brothers can join
Panda: Guys night? what do you do in that
Mordecai: We just hang out with the guys ya know. Muscle Man,High Fives and Pops will be there. Its fun trust me
Panda: Well...Ok! Besides i think Grizz would enjoy that.
Mordecai: Great, can't wait to see you till then, Also make sure to bring snacks
Panda:O-Oh alright, see ya..

Panda left, Mordecai just looked. Mabye not today, Its not the right time. Mordecai disappointingly walked away. Once he got back to the house Rigby waited fof him.

Rigby: So? did you tell him?
Mordecai: Well i invited him for Guys Night and he said yes
Rigby: and?
Mordecai:....i didn't tell him
Rigby: What!? Mordecai if you keep doing this, you will lose him!
Mordecai: What am i supposed to do!? I cant just tell him out of the blue! You already seen what happened with Margaret and CJ. You want me to have another complicated relationship
Rigby: No! but look Panda seems to nice to leave you and you seem to care about him. I seen the way you look at him every time you hang out
Mordecai: Well...What do you know about romance?!
Rigby: Dude im hitting it off well with Eileen. She was afraid i wouldn't like her, and hell i didn't think I would love her, yet here we are. We are together. I can't believe im giving you the advice, im usually the screw up.
Mordecai: Mabye its different ok, Panda isn't like Eileen and Im not like you.
Rigby: Well you better tell him how you feel for else
Mordecai: Or else what?
Rigby: You know what? Fine! Do me a soild and-
Mordecai: Dont you dare dude!
Rigby: Then just tell him yourself!
Mordecai: I..I cant and i won't. You will never understand what it feels to hurt someone you like. You don't know how it feels when guilt is eating you alive! The way you look at someone you love and in their eyes are just pain caused from you! Every night that you cry yourself to sleep because you keep thinking how could you have avoided this!...You don't know how it feels...

Rigby: Listen to yourself man!. If you dont tell him you will regret it for the rest of your life and trust me i have been there
Mordecai: .....What do you mean you have been there? What happened?
Rigby: I.....Never mind that. Whats important is that, you will tell him and he says yes congratulations and if he doesn't like you back at least you will know, But look Panda seems to like you alot and he trusts you. If he says no, he will still be your friend. You cant just keep avoiding this.

Mordecai looked at him with a suprised expression, he wasn't expecting such mature words from Rigby, and Rigby was the most immature. Mabye he knows more about love because he's with Eileen now and mabye her smarts are rubbing off Rigby.

Rigby: So what are you going to do?

Mordecai: ...ya know what..Im gonna tell him..on Guys Night..but it has to be at a perfect moment

Rigby: ok it doesn't have to be mushy either but whatever. As long as you stop wussing out

Mordecai: Pft ok ok. Now lets get back to playing so i can beat you.

Friday is the night..hes gonna tell Panda how he feels and he has to find a way to be alone with Panda but with Rigby by his side they both developed a plan. It seemed like a perfect plan, just as long as they stick with it. Which means Mordecai cant back out of this one. He just has to tell him.
