Morning light shined on into the window of the small dance studio. Keira walked in just before class started it, eyes landing on her once more, whispers starting up again. It was hard being the only black girl in a ballet glass of all white. But, she loved dance and nothing could take that away. "Alright girls, turning time." The teacher called.

Though Keira loved dance, however, she did not love turning time. That was when a dancer would go into the center of the room and turn or as non-dancers would call it, spin. But, all the other dancers woulda critique it. Keira as you could probably get would get the worst critiques. "Keira', you're up today." The teacher smiled.

Keira dreaded this moment time and time again. She walked silently into the center of the room, hesitant she looked at her teacher who just nodded happily. She began, turning beautifully and gracefully, arms perfect, turns fluid and on a high releve. The only person clapping however, was the teacher.

The three boys rode their bikes straight to Eddie's, grabbing some stuff their before they'd head out. "First you said the barrens, now you're saying the sewers," Eddie started, shaking his head in disbelief. "I mean, what if he get caught?" Eddie questioned. "We won't Eddie. The sewers are public works. We're the public aren't we?" Bill shrugged.

"Hey Eddie, these birth control pills?" Richie asked smiling as he rummaged through the kitchen cabinet. "Yeah, and I'm saving them for your sister." Eddie seethed. As they gathered everything they'd need and were about to head out, Eddie's Mother stopped them. "Eddie-bear? Where are you heading off to in such a rush?" She asked.

Before Eddie could fail so miserably with a lie, Bill stepped in. "J-just to my house, m-Mrs. K, I got a n-new.." but, then bill started to run out of ideas. "A new croquet set. Jeez sp-spit it out b-b-Bill." Richie swooped in, finishing the lie. "Okay," she said seeming throughly convinced. "I don't want you rolling in grass, especially if it's been freshly cut. You know how bad your allergies can get." She ordered.

"Okay, mom." Eddie nodding trying to finally leave, but was stopped again. "Aren't you forgetting something?" His mother asked. Hesitantly and also really wishing the boys weren't here for this, Eddie walked over to his mother and kissed her cheek.
Almost shamefully Eddie walked back to his friends and Richie was silently laughing at him. "Want one from me too Mrs. K?" Eddie pushed them all out of the front door closing it behind him.

The group met stan by the barrens as the advanced towards it. "That's poison Ivy, that's poison I ya and that's definitely poison ivy." Stan pointed out to some random plants. "Where?! Where is the poison ivy?" Eddie panicked. "Nowhere! Not every fucking plant you see if poison ivy Stanley!" Richie blurted and him and Bill ventured into the sewers.

Stan and Eddie stood outside of the tunnel, not daring to go inside of the disgusting area. Richie looked back at the two, not even stepping a foot in there. "Aren't you coming in?" Richie asked. "Nuh-uh, that's grey water." Eddie protested. "What the hell is grey water?" Richie questioned. "It's basically...piss and shit, so, I'm just telling you!" Eddie freaked.

As Eddie was having his germ panic attack Richie, was picking up a stick and sniffing the end that had touch the supposed "grey water". "Are y-, are you serious?" Eddie asked, his face contorted in disgust as Richie's actions. "Doesn't smell like vacation to me señor." Richie spoke, faking the worst Spanish accent. Eddie inhales sharply at Richie's foolishness.

"Have you ever heard of a staph infection?" Eddie questioned. "Oh, I'll show you a staph infection." Richie smirked, throwing the stick in Eddie's direction just missing him. "Guys!" Bill called, grasping the attention of the three boys. He turned to them holding up a small shoe.

"Holy shit...don't they'll me that's'," Stan started thinking it was the shoe of Bill's lost brother. "G-Georgie wore galoshes." Bill told him. Richie looked at the inside of the shoe. "Then, who's is it?" Eddie questioned. "It's Betty Ripsom's." Richie mumbled but loud enough for them all the hear. "Oh shit. Oh fuck!" Eddie freaked. "I don't like this." He panicked.

"How do you think Betty feels? Running in Therese tunnels with one shoe." Richie joked  hoping on one foot, as the boy didn't particularly find that funny. "What if she's still here?" Stan asked. "I-if I were Betty, I'd want us to f-find me. G-g-Georgie too." Bill pointed out. "What if I don't wanna find Betty? I mean, no offense bill but I don't wanna end up like..." Eddie trailed off, noticing the look on Bill's face.

"I don't wanna go missing either." Eddie said. "He has a point." Stan chimes in. "You too?" Bill sighed at Stan, who happened to be his best friend in the group. "It's summer," Stan retorted. "We're supposed to be having fun! This isn't fun, it's scary and disgusting." Stan told him. Just then, they all heard a splash.

Running out into the end of the sewage pipe. They'd seen the new kid, from school, Ben Hanscom struggling to stand in the water. "Holy shit, what happened to you?"
