BACK IN HERMIONE'S POV IF WE WERE NOT ALREADY :)

I woke up the next morning, feeling super exhilarated. I barely remembered how I got from the sofa to the bed I was in, but it didn't matter until I remembered strong arms around me.

Draco. I thought to myself, with a smile.

It was silent. The whole house was, and I wanted to have the moment all to myself whilst everyone was asleep.

I smiled fondly at Ginny, who had her thumb in her mouth, and at Astoria and Pansy, who looked a lot younger, more vulnerable, easily hurt and innocent without their usual makeup. They looked soft.

I tip toed through the beds, and carefully made my way to the boy's room. The first thing I noticed was Draco's empty bed.

I could hear Ron's loud snoring, Blaise's heavy breathing and Theo's quiet snuffles. Harry yawned and mumbled something in his sleep about his toast being kidnapped, and I smiled before going to the bathroom.

I quickly brushed my teeth, and walked downstairs quietly to the kitchen.

As I approached the door, I saw Draco sitting at the table, sipping a glass of water and looking out of the window.

I cleared my throat softly, and Draco spun around, and smiled. He had bed hair, and he looked a lot more soft and cuddly in the mornings.

"Good morning love," He said softly.

"Good morning," I replied, and walked over to him, and nuzzled up to him, and we hugged each other before Draco said,

"Drink?"

I nodded and sat down at the table, whilst he poured me some water, and he popped a strawberry in the top.

"Thank you," I said, sucking on the strawberry, letting the gorgeous juices run over my tongue before sipping my water.

"So, why are you up so early?" He asked me, sitting opposite me and holding my hand.

"I should ask you the same thing," I replied smartly.

"And are you?" He played along.

"I might be," I giggled.

"Well, I Asked first," Draco smirked.

"I just wanted to savour the silence of the house, get a few moments to take in the quiet before the festivities begin," I explained.

"That's sweet. I wanted to do the same thing, besides the fact I was excited to get up," Draco replied.

"You are such a child," I grinned.

"You like me though." He smirked once again.

"I swear all you do is infuriatingly smirk," I observed. "Besides, I... I don't just like you, I—"

I was cut off by Ginny running into the kitchen.

"Oh my! You two are so cute! Merry Christmas," she squealed.

"Merry Christmas Gin," I said fondly, giving her a hug.

"Merry Christmas," Draco said, giving her some water.

"Thanks," She said, and gulped it down thirsting.

"I was born to make you happy," Draco whispered to me, and I smiled admiringly at him.

"Look at You two! Right married couple you make! I was like the child that came in late!" Ginny commented, causing me to choke.

"No kids yet!" I said quickly.
