ALL IN DRACO'S POV THIS CHAPTER.

On the Hogwarts Express back home, I spent as much time with Hermione as I could. She was going on holiday, otherwise we would've spent the summer together, but she told me the date she got back and we were all going to the Burrow. Well, Hermione, Harry, Blaise and I. Ginny would obviously already be there, Weasel thank goodness wouldn't be there, and Astoria, Theo and Pansy said they couldn't come sadly, but they said they would write and they would see us on the train back to Hogwarts.

"Goodbye my love. Until I next see you, remember I will always love you darling, and no matter what, it'll be okay. I'll see you when you get back. Until then, write to me as often as you would like." I said to Hermione, giving her a long kiss goodbye, and a long, warm hug. I didn't want to be apart from her, but I had to let go.

My mother came up to me, and she saw me waving at Hermione.

"So that's Hermione Granger, hmm?" She said, looking at Hermione approvingly.

"Yes mother," I blushed.

"So, She is your girlfriend? If so, that's lovely. I should wish to meet her the day before you all go to the Burrow," she said.

"Okay mother, I'll mention it to her when I write," I said eagerly.

John waved at me, and I waved back, as did my mother.

"It may be better if we go somewhere other than the Manor though. I don't care that she's muggleborn, as long as you're happy my son, but your father can't find out. He will hurt her most likely. I had a massive row with him about what happened with the prophecy, and he isn't really talking to me right now." Mother whispered.

I nodded understandingly, and we apparated back to the Manor.

I shuddered at the cold atmosphere as I entered the Manor and I walked into the living area and my father was sat down.

"Ah, Draco. You're back I see," he said icily.

"Yes, obviously," I said through clenched teeth.

"Don't take that tone with me boy. You're in disgrace. Anyway. The Dark Lord will be here shortly, so make yourself appear presentable. It's time," he said meaningfully.

I walked up to my room partway, and I heard my mother slap father.

"He's just a boy. You cannot expect him to go through with this Lucius," my mother hissed.

"Cissy, He has to. Then, we will restore the Malfoy name once he completes his task and we will be in the Dark Lord's favour once again and we won't be harmed during the upcoming war, which seems inevitable at this point," my father spoke harshly and coldly.

"I won't let you. He's my baby," my mother said, close to tears.

"You always were soft on him. He was perfectly fine until the age of five, when he began to cry over silly things. You wrapped him in cotton wool for too long, Cissy, you always have. He's sixteen now, you have to let go." My father said, a little more gently this time because my mother crying disconcerted him somewhat.

"He will be in so much pain. You may think it's an honour to be branded for life, but I see it differently. It will hurt him." My mother said.

"So feeble. So caring," my father said. "Tonight, we will have another child. Hopefully. Then, there will be two worthy people to the Malfoy inheritance," my father said.

"No Lucius. I won't allow it. You know I almost died birthing darling Draco," she protested.

I snuck to the door and saw my father turn pale.
