You unlocked the door to your motel room and threw your bag on the bed and opened a beer. You just finished the last of tying up some last minute things. You were retiring from hunting and part of it felt good. Your phone buzzed and when you pulled it out of your pocket you saw it was Cas, the Winchesters angel buddy. He was texting, which was odd, but he asked if you were okay and safe. Your last loose end you needed to tie up was a bit challenging so you called the angel to help you out. You also made him promise you that he wasnt allowed to tell the brothers. You sent a quick text saying you were back at the motel and safe. You sat at the motel table and pulled out the apartment application and such and began to fill it out. You were ready for this new life you were setting up for yourself. You were going to meet someone who wouldn't just up and break your heart and make you leave. You had met a doctor at a coffee shop and you guys hit it up pretty well. He had a busy schedule the next few weeks so you set it for the weekend he was free. You smiled because you were starting to feel happy again. Your phone buzzed again and it was Castiel again. He was said he was happy to know you was safe and that you should think about what you guys had talked about before. You took a deep breath and hopped into the shower.

After your shower you ordered take out and laid on the motel bed. Flipping through through channels you ignored your buzzing phone. It buzzed again and again and again. Finally you had enough of the buzzing and answered it. "Whoever you are-" "Y/N its Sam. Please dont hang up. Its important." You haven't heard or seen Sam in months. His voice made you feel like things were normal. "Have you seen it heard from Dean?" He asked you. His voice was firm but you could detect that he was worried. "No why would I?" You responded. "Well Dean went on this solo hunt a couple weeks ago and I haven't heard from him since. He always called with updates." "Dean's done this before, Sam" you tried to assure him but something in you gut told you something was wrong. "You're right, maybe hes too into it and just hasn't called." He didn't sound convinced. "If you do hear from him let me know okay?" You hear Sam give a small chuckle over the phone "I will. Maybe you guy can talk or something. He hasn't been himself since you left." "Maybe he shouldnt have broke up with me, Sam. Anyway, I should go, my food I ordered should be here soon." You hung up before Sam could say anything else. You wiped a tear away. You thought you were over Dean but you guessed you weren't because you were crying about it all over again.

❗SAMS POV❗
Sam set the phone down. He knew you hated Dean's guts still but he still hoped that he could get you guys back together. He knew you were hiding everything deep inside, well according to Castiel. Sam also knew that Dean hated himself and would give anything to have you back. Dean had been locked up in his room for months and only came out for beer, food, and maybe a quick hunt with Sam. Then one day he said he stumbled across a hunt and wanted to do it solo to clear his mind off things. Sam didnt think anything of it. Sam picked up his phone again and tried Dean's cells again. Nothing. Maybe he should call a few hunters and see if they're nearby and check up on things. He called Castiel instead. "Sam? Have you heard anything?" Castiel sounded worried too. Dean just doesnt go missing. "No and neither has Y/N" "you know Y/N is just an hour away from where dean said he'd be. Maybe you can call her back and tell her to keep an eye out." Sam took a deep breath. "I'm sure she will be on the lookout either way. She still cares for him from the tone in her voice." The line was interrupted by an incoming call. "Cas let me call you back, I gotta take this." "Okay I'm just a few miles out from the bunker." Sam hung up and answered the incoming call. "Jody, what's up?" "Sam, I dont know how to tell you this but we just found Dean's car. It doesnt look good."
