Meanwhile as the Alchemist headed outside Corin is lost deep in thought. Why did she have to be here of all places he wondered while replaying what had happened in the council chambers, but he is quickly brought back to reality as Gale taps his shoulder while they walk.
Hey Corin you sure that Lady Keira has everything handled?
Yes gale I'm sure don't forget she taught me and also helped teach you how to better use your talents.
So yea not to mention she's one of the most powerful demons at the moment so no one will question her if they know what's best for them.
Either way I wouldn't worry about it all too much though she'll take care of everything as she normally does Corin said casually as they approached the main doors. I'm not used to seeing you so trusting and calm about leaving something in someone's hands it's kind of unsettling honestly said Gale.
As they finish their conversation they walk out the main door and are greeted by Xina, a older demon standing just half a head shorter than Corin. She was well toned and fit, like Lady Keira she wore what she pleased since she above everyone else had earned that right. Much like corin she had a Mohawk but hers was clearly longer the alchemists had always seen her with it so they aren't positive of who had it first since they both don't age like them.
Greetings Lord Corin Xina greeted him while she bowed as they walked up. My you have grown up quite well and powerful. I saw how you got the elders attention from a mile away.
Lady Xina it is all thanks to you and my mother's teachings he replied as he bowed in return.
It's a pleasure to see you all again and Corin what have I told you about calling me Lady?
Corin let out a light chuckle at her response. You can thank my mother for that Xina he replied as he smiles faintly, So you are to be our escort to the estate?
Yes because the city has become dangerous of late. They proceed to walk down the main road of the vast city. Much to their surprise everyone they passed by each gave them distrustful glares and hurried off the street. Have things really gotten that tense? Asked Lexi.
Yes Lady Lexi, there have been random attacks throughout the lands not just yours....it has everyone on edge. Everyone is afraid the of ones behind the attacks will come here Xina replied.
Who have they been attacking? Have there been more attacks like the one on our lands? Gale asked. I'm afraid I cannot answer that right now My Lady has forbidden me from discussing this with anyone till more information has been confirmed. Which will hopefully be after they question the prisoner you provided. Xina responded knowing that answer would only increase their worry and want to act now.
Well hopefully should be after they interrogate him, the sooner we know what's going on the better chimed in Damien. But as they continued to walk as Corin replayed the scene in his head of Alexia attempting to get between him and the hybrid known as Andri. While he was lost deep in thought once again time passed by like a raging river and before he knew it they were at the estate. Let me welcome you my Lord Corin to Lady's Keira's home. They walk up to a vast Manson black as the night, Much like the rest of the city it's architecture was ancient but this small area of the city seemed much older than the rest, it all seemed more menacing yet stunning and beautiful. The architecture seem from a time long forgotten, where demons held dragons and their elders in the highest regard.
In all these years you would think that her taste would be more modern stated Corin as he looked around the main court yards garden which appeared well kept and ancient statues on both sides of the garden.
Xina chuckled out loud and hold heartedly before she was able to respond. Well you know how Lady Keira is with her architecture. Please come in and make yourselves at home.
Many were of warriors holding their swords behind their shields but then they came up to the last set of statues closest to the entrance of the mansion. These two seems much older than the others, one was of a warrior wearing black armor holding his sword in one hand with the end in the ground and his shield held low while a elder dragon opposite of him its head lowered in such a manner it appeared to be kneeling to him.
Corin and the others walk into the Manson and are escorted to what appeared to be a study, the shelves full of books, ancient texts, and scrolls lined the walls and papers strewn across one of many desk
So how long will this take, I don't think we should linger long Corin stated Gale as he glanced around clearly studying the room.
As much as it pains me to admit it but I agree with Gale. We should be on our way to the east already despite the fact that we need more information said Lexi.
Sai looked at everyone else with a stern look as he spoke, There's more to this than we know and Lady Keira has that knowledge or as we speak is acquiring that knowledge for us.
Corin smiled as he responded; Sai is right and I trust Lady Keira as should you Lexi, at this point she saved us from having to waste time fighting out of the capital.
We should rest while we can suggested Damien as he carefully examined the scrolls left on a table. I have a feeling when Lady Keira returns we are going to be in for a a hell of a journey ahead of us.
I agree Corin replied. I'll take the first watch the rest of you get some shut eye but once he finished that sentence they all look at Corin with concern. I am fine Corin said wearily as they all looked at each other he then waved them away. You all get some rest
Damien walked up and set his hand on corins shoulder as he spoke, We care brother, we know you are questioning how things played out back there but you did what needed to be done and handled it how you saw fit, we trust your judgement.
Thank you brother but I assure you that I am fine. Now go rest, you need your strength. Damien turned and walked away to find a place to rest.
A few hours had passed since the alchemists had turned in for the evening. It was partly cloudy and the moon was almost full as Corin stood staring out of the study window his hands behind him relaxed for the first time in a long far too long it felt like to him. You know he started to say, it was a night such as this when I awoke from a terrible dream and my father assured me I was safe and there was nothing to fear. Xina appeared silently from the darkness behind Corin bowing to him. We all have bad dreams My lord it's as natural as when the sun sets. There's no reason for you to take watch I am fully capable....Corin cuts her off by holding up his right hand, he began to tense up again he finally asked the question that was burning within him. When did she become a royal bodyguard Xina?
As she looked down and with a soft voice replied, Not a month after she abandoned you and the young lord for the one you saw today the demon Royal Montress.
A single tear ran down his face as he stares blankly out the window but then he fixed his posture and with a stern tone he spoke again. I do not question your ability given you and Lady Keira are the ones who taught my mother and I all we know.
Corin couldn't see it but she blushed and had small smile on her face. But much like Lady Sage you like to ponder and reflect about the days events.
Xina couldn't see it but Corin for the first time in a long while had a smile on his face as he replied to her. This is true my lady. Corin slightly turned his head to the left as he spoke again, how many of the old guard are out patrolling? He asked.
With a strong sense of pride in her voice she stated bodily, All of them my Lord. The compound is completely protected.
And the other two? Completely turning towards her as he asked.
Guarding Lady Keria of course as well gathering what information they can.
Corin turned slightly and began to walk towards a lone dark corner of the study as he spoke. Then I shall turn in for the night for it seems that you have everything under control My Lady.
Xina bows to Corin as he walks away slowly still blushing, Of course my lord. Please leave it to us, Sleep well. Corin retreated to a corner and laid against the wall. He quickly passed into a deep slumber.
Even as he sleeps within the confounds of a friendly and familiar setting Corin relives the nightmare of fighting in the streets of his homeland, first being awoken by a violent explosion off in the distance. Then him passing off his son to the Elders as the horde drew near, his fellow alchemists fighting along side him attempting to fend off demons and hybrids killing all they could while trying to save their people, remembering the smell of blood, burned flesh, the screams of the men, women, and children as they fought to defend their home, cursing as each fellow alchemists was slain having to step over their corpse in order to continue the fight. But he is awoken by a unfamiliar touch, his eyes open wide full of panic as he reached out and grabs ahold of the target as he drew his sword while he screamed out at the possible aslant. Alexia attempts to pry his hand from her throat and block his sword with the hilt of hers but his strength is like none other and at that moment Corin was ready to strike the killing blow, but is grabbed by another.
Corin it's ok! Lady Keira screamed as loud as she could while placing her hand on his shoulder and grabbing his sword arm preventing him from harming Alexia. You were having a nightmare it's ok you are safe.
Corin breathing heavily staring at Lady Keira then at Alexia as he slowly realizes who he was about to kill so he lowered his sword as he loosened his grip on her throat, Why are you here?
My Royal is here to speak with you where he goes I go for I am one of his bodyguards Alexia replies as she struggles for air.
Corin looking beyond her seeing the demon Royal Montress and the hybrid Royal King Liam with a demon bodyguard but no sign of his fellow Alchemist. My apologies my lords but where are the other Alchemist that came here with me?
Lady Keira pulled her hand back as Corin stowed his weapon as she replied. They are in the main hall they were already awake when we arrived, we have come to give you all we have so far concerning the recent attacks and the attack on your land.
Corin finally removes his hand from alexia's throat and stood up as Alexia gasps for air
Our apologizes Alchemist but we heard you from the main hall and came to ensure your safety said King Liam.
Corin being skeptical of this expression of concern glances at Liam questionably. Since when does the hybrid king care for a humans safety? He replies,
It seemed that Montress wanted to open his mouth most likely to spout something degrading or something of that nature but is cut off by King Liam.
Since it was because of Lady Sage your mother that I am able to stand here today alive as king of my lands.
He stared at King Liam still with the same questionable look as he walked closer to him and Lord Montress. I forgot you knew my mother from the Great War, said Corin as he finally stood before King Liam.
Not as well as I wished I could have he replied with a sadden tone. But she was an honorable woman and a fierce warrior, she saved a few of my men and I during the war replied King Liam.
As much as I would enjoy discussing the old days we do have much more important matters to discuss at this time my dears Lady Keira said as she walked passed them to the entrance of the study.
Yes I do agree my Lady muttered Montress angrily trying to keep calm considering being cut off. He looks to Alexia as he turns to walk away, come Alexia. She gets to her feet then walks ahead of him but glances back at Corin with a soft look.
They all walked out of the study towards the main hall. A large elegant room that resembled a dining area with what appeared to be the same ancient architecture design style as outside. Much like the rest of the manor it followed a deep blue and black color scheme. A large long gated wooden table in the very center of the room with chairs lined on both sides with a single large cushioned chair at the head of the table. Corin saw Lexi and Damien as they walked up to him while Sai and Gale watch the others with distrust in their eyes.
Nightmares again? Asked Lexi with a concerning look on her face.
Yes but I am fine I promise replied Corin shrugging as he attempted to convince them.
Yea well considering she's here I find it really hard to believe that said Damien as he stared directly at Alexia. Why is she even here? She has no right nor a place here he went on to say all while without taking his gaze off Alexia.
Corin lifted his hand and scratched the back of his head as he responded. Not my call it's out of my hands, so be on guard either way he said as he opened his eyes again slowly, with a more intense look in his eyes as he spoke again. As you can tell there's a lot of tension here.
Lady Keira took her seat at the head of the table as the others took their seats. Well now that we all are here let us piece everything together what is believed to be going on in our lands shall we? King Liam if you please.
King Liam nodded at Lady Keira then spoke. Three months ago there was a raid on one of our armories by a group of demons and hybrids, though it appeared that they only stole minor weapons at first glance it did not warrant much concern, however but upon further investigation thanks to one of my senior guard Captains we later discovered they also raided our store houses for supplies. At the time we had no inclination to what their purpose was.
Without giving a moment's pause Montress spoke up. Then a month later what is believed to be the same group that raided King Liams lands raided ancient ruins of the old Demon Empire on the outskirts of my lands. It was determined that they stole ancient texts and scrolls as well along with several old detailed maps of the old Empires boundaries. But ever since then they disappeared.
Until we heard rumors of the attack on your region in the North we hadn't any clue or guesses to when they would strike again began Lady Keira but Corin spoke up interrupting her.
Well it's clear to me now what happened or at least to me. Corin states as he leans back in his chair.
Oh? Is it now Alchemist? Please enlighten us with your wisdom and insight said Montress mockingly as he chuckled clearly demonstrating his vastly dislike for humans even more than ever.
Damien walked forward standing on Lady Keira's right side as he spoke. The raid on King Liam's kingdom was mainly for the supplies and ingredients, the armory raid was a diversion even though they did acquire weapons from the Great War, and the raid on the ancient ruins was to acquire old magic along with any source of knowledge that was there concerning these locations since most of the old demon kingdom required old magic to traverse between many of them stated Damien. Then Gale spoke up as Damien finished. They then studied what they had, practiced using the weapons and magic carefully so that they were efficient and understood it all to the smallest detail and when they felt ready enough they proceeded with their attack on our home and families.
Since we are the only ones able to use demon enhanced alchemy let alone our weapons being the only ones besides the counsel of demon hunters in the East kingdom being able to strike down any elder demon or hybrid.
So to put it simply you put both our alchemic and combat abilities together, we can't be stopped very easily. Someone wanted to make sure no one possessed that kind of power or knowledge so clearly after learning a few of us had both of those they saw us as a threat and sought to remove us.
Lady Keira let out a small chuckle as she spoke to Corin. Now you all are starting to sound like your mother and father Corin, save the fact they would often finish each other's thoughts aloud when conversing about anything.
Montress glanced at them both shaking his head in disbelief then spoke. Which brings me to my next question, how are you alchemist able to do such feats? No other alchemist I've ever seen has been able to do such things. Damien sighs and raises his hand exposing him palm showing his what appeared to be a incantation symbol craved into his skin. No other alchemist can cause they are plain regular humans, but we happen to be mages born into alchemist homes. Montress let out a low chuckle as he sat forward. So the truth comes out mages being born outside of the mages colonies and being kept secret. But still why target you specifically Corin? They obviously sent most of their force to destroy you and your son along with your elders but the question is why?
Corin stood up stared directly into Montress's eyes as he rolled up his right sleeve exposing a ancient demonic brand of a dragons skull. It resembled no known species of dragon but one eye socket was blood red while the other was black as night but the most noticeable feature was along the bottom of the jaw was something written in a ancient demonic language that was all but long forgotten. This is my best guess Montress Corin replied calmly.
Both King Liam and Montress stood abruptly knocking over their chairs simultaneously and stared at his mark in shock while Montress clearly shook with fear.
That is a demonic brand...........muttered King Liam
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?!?! HOW DARE YOU BARE THAT MARK!!!!!! Lord Montress yelled while Alexia stared with a horrific look on her face as she spoke silently. But Corin but I thought........
He bares the mark like his father before him stated Lady Keira boldly. And like his mother before him stands in front of you as the head of my personal guard such as you have a demon bodyguard King Liam and Montress has the pup as his. Alexia whence at hearing this.
Montress who was clearly in a severe state of rage and panic about this revelation replied with a raised stern and angered tone in his voice like before. It doesn't matter who his parents were this is completely different Lady Keira! He is a human and an alchemist at that! He does not have any rights to be given that mark not by me let alone you!!!! This should have been brought before the counsel, Lady Keira cuts him off raising her voice in turn as she too stood up abruptly. You mean like you and King Liam did when you two traded guards in your foolish attempt at calling it a step towards peace between you two? Yes my dear Montress I see the error in my ways and the wisdom in yours!!! Lady Keira says sarcastically as she glares at Montress with intense anger as she continued to degrade Montress. Much like your young inexperienced pup of a bodyguard you have much to learn!
As Lord Montress stood there staring angrily back at Lady Keira he slams his fist on the table as he spoke yelling at the top of his lungs. HOW DARE YOU!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!!!
And at that exact moment without a second thought and one fluid motion Corin drew his sword and moved directly in front of Montress. I would calm myself if I were you Corin said calmly. I'd hate to soil my Lady's floor with such filth like your blood.
Montress stared intently at Corin as his eyes begin changing to a deep blood red. You have some nerve you insolent little......he started to reply but a gust of wind passes through the room as Lady Xina appeared with her blade against Montress's throat while two other guards appeared with her, one with her bow aimed directly at Alexia and the male with his combat staff honed in on King Liam.
Xina simply smiled as she spoke to Lord Montress, You are either very brave or very foolish my young lord. Then looking at Lady Keira and Corin she calmly asks them. Your orders?
Lady Keira chuckled as she waved her hand, Release them Xina, Corin and his Alchemist had everything under control. Xina looking around seeing Corin having his sword trained on Montress and Alexia, Sai with his twin short blades out glowing blue and Lexi with her broad sword glowing blue from being infused with alchemy both her and Sai in perfect synchronization ready to engage the demon bodyguard and King Liam while Gale had his staff ready to slam into the ground to utilize what alchemy he saw fit standing right behind Lady Keira, Damien with his throwing daggers drawn and his gaze directed at Montress as well.
Xina smiles at Corin and Lady Keira. As you wish my Lady and Lord, my apologies for the intrusion
Corin smirks at Lady Xina. It is quite alright Lady Xina, Just like you told me at my first lesson, you can never have too many blades or too much firepower in one room.
The other Alchemist calmly laughed loudly staring down their targets still ready to strike at a moment's notice.
With a smile on her face and blushing a bit from what Lady Keira saw Lady Xina spoke again, I am glad you remember your first lesson with me my Lord. The other guards along with her lower their weapons, then we shall take our leave and continue with our patrols.
They all bowed and disappeared as quickly as they appeared silent without a sound.
King Liam whom had been shaking with terror hadn't taken his eyes off the mark on Corin's forearm. He had not known such terror like this in years. It can't be he stammered trying to fully form his words. That mark is of the demon elites Lady Keira is it not? One that was wiped out before the war Great War.
Corin coughed quietly cutting off Lady Keira as subtle as possible which in his case was as obvious as a court jester. Corin never took his eyes off Montress and Alexia as he continued to remain aimed in on them both.
King Liam looked directly at Corin while he spoke again. Just how old are you Alchemist?
Finally glancing at King Liam Corin replied, well that depends, how old are you again my Lord?
I am only 800 years old King Liam stated.
Corin smiled as he began laughing loudly as if he had been told the greatest joke he'd ever heard. Wow didn't think I was that old he said looking back towards Montress smiling an evil and dark smile, I'm much older then you than I originally thought Corin said as chuckled, I'm only 2 thousand years older than you my Lord.
Both Montress and King Liam shuttered in terror at this news, Alexia gasps as she places her hands over her mouth in shock.
Montress stared at Corin in complete disbelief upon hearing this revelation. How is this possible when you are a mere human? There's no possible way Montress whispered softly.
Lady Keira explain yourself now!!! How is this possible? Lady Sage was human! She died 14 years ago! I know this to be true for I was there when Lord Heart and her died as I tried to get to them during the final battle of the war King Liam replied clearly being disturbed at this revelation.
Lady Keira calmly looked towards Corin then back to both King Liam and Lord Montress before answering him. She had a intense and cold look in her eyes as she gave her reply. Lady Sage was in fact human, but his father Lord Heart was a pure blooded Demon, he was apart of my personal guard with Lady Xina.
Then how how was Lady Sage his mother let alone be head of your personal guard? Asked King Liam.
Lady Sage earned that title through combat and wisdom beyond her years my dear and as for how she was Corin's mother, Corin speaks up, cutting off Lady Keira.
It's obvious at this point I hope, she adopted me. I am my father's son by blood obviously but she was my adopted mother. According to him my birth mother died as she gave birth to me so he raised me with Lady Xinas help. When the war started My mother came to Lady Keira's aid with her fellow human Alchemist but they were vastly out classed at first so they just did support. I wasn't that young in age but not old or experienced enough to join the fight. But nonetheless with the mind of an inexperienced child I thought I could contribute to to the war effort. I took it upon myself to join the fight one day and naturally got in over my head but luckily she came to my rescue.
Lady Sage threw herself in the path of a demons attack and took it full force. It nearly killed her but she lived Lady Keira continued explaining. Lord Heart came to her aid even though he had just set out to retrieve Corin and saved her life. Lord Heart got them both to safety in the midst of the chaos as reinforcements arrived. When she had finally awoken from the ordeal Lord Heart and Corin has stayed by her side as she healed in which during that time she started teaching them human alchemy. As time went on Corin bonded with Lady Sage looking up to her as a son would his own mother and one thing lead to another between Lord Heart and Lady Sage.
So then they combined demon combat, magic with human alchemy Lord Montress said with a frightened tone.
King Liam still frozen with fear still staring at Corin as he spoke once again. The perfect Alchemic warrior. How much demon blood flows through your veins?
My father was a pure blooded demon, my birth mother however is a mystery to be honest father never spoke of her not that I cared either way. When my mother and father died in battle I trained harder and studied all of her works along with all of my father's works in order to master alchemy, demon magic, and combat arts they passed on to me before their deaths. And like my mother before me I earned the right to take her place as head of Lady Keira's guard replied Corin.
And don't worry we are all purebred humans. Just very gifted mage  alchemist chuckled Damien, thanks to Lord Corins strict teachings and guidance we became vastly effective warriors. Yes we are humans but make no mistake, we only follow Lord Corin and Lady Keira no one else so if you want to cause problems here the members of Lady Keira's guard are the least of your concerns my Lords.
King Liam and Lord Montress were frozen with fear, unable to avert their gaze from Corin both of them attempting to understand what they have just been told.
And before you ask my dears no the counsel does not know of this and nor shall they know of this. What is discussed here does not leave this estate am I clear?
Of course my lady, replied King Liam. But please let us have peace and discuss our next move shall we? King Liam being the first to retake his seat while Lord Montress remained standing still glaring at Corin.
I still have many questions concerning what has been revealed tonight but King Liam is right. We do have more pressing matters to address stated Lord Montress sternly still glaring at Corin intensely.
Lady Keira smirked as she slightly bowed her head as she replies.
Why Thank you darlings I greatly appreciate not having to embarrass either of you two further. Corin and Alexia please leave the room there is much for you two to discuss I imagine Lady Keira said as she sat back in her chair.
I honestly would rather not Corin started to say as Lady Keira cut him off abruptly.
Did it sound like I was giving you an option? Lady Keira said sternly more than she'd ever talked to Corin in years. The other Alchemist are more than fully capable of protecting everyone in this room now go or shall I embarrass you as I have embarrassed the other two young lords?
Corin glanced back at Lady Keira with irritation in his eyes. Yes My Lady as you wish he replied. Corin and Alexia walk out the main hall Corin slightly ahead of Alexia.
Lady Keira glared at Alexia as the main hall doors close once again. I sent them away for what I hope to be obvious reasons to the alchemist.
Damien sighed heavily as he replied. Yes my lady but still doesn't give me hope that there will be a understanding let alone a civil conversation between them.
Is there or was there something between them? King Liam asked.
They have a intimate history my dear replied Lady Keira calmly. One that ended abruptly without rhyme or reason, she then looked at Damien with a reassuring look on her face. They will be just fine don't worry too much about him.
Lord Montress still glaring at Lady Keira intently as he spoke.
That mark Lady Keira he started to say, is it the true mark?
Lady Keira looked at Lord Montress as she replied in a serious tone that the other alchemist weren't used too in all the years that they have known her. Yes my dear it is. He is the rightful heir.
Lord Montress turned pale upon hearing these words, visibly shaking with fear as he placed both hands together in front of his mouth.
King Liam with a vastly confused expression on his face looked back and fourth between both Lady Keira and Lord Montress. Heir to what?
Speaking softly as his body trembled with fear as he spoke Lord Montress replied. It's the mark of the most ancient of the demon warriors.
They were known as The Knights of Hell. They were the only ones who who could wield the Flames of hell itself as their personal weapon without dying. Being gifted with Insurmountable strength, blinding speed, beyond god like endurance, and a level of demon magic far beyond any demon or human mage alive or dead.
As he trembled in fear upon hearing this; King Liam somehow managed to speak. How were they able to do such a thing?
Lord Montress still shaking as he spoke with sheer terror in his voice, It is said that the only way one could obtain such power was within the deepest pits of Hell itself. Recently after years of research it's believed that the first Hell Knights, a group of the first demon warriors elites traveled to the what is believed to be the deepest part of Hell itself fighting any that crossed their path till they found their true foe. The ancient dragon gods that had been living there since the beginning of time, hidden away from all demon and human kind. They choose to test their power and skill against the ancient gods so they fought for a century till finally the dragons surrendered for it's believed they were on the verge of extinction. And upon the final field of battle at the very gates of the deepest darkest pit of hell they deemed their foes worthy of their power. When they returned from their endeavor the strongest of them became the first rulers of all of the demon lands. Time went on as they used their power to expand the already ever growing kingdom while passing on what they had learned only to those whom they deemed worthy. When the civil war began they of course came to aid us but not all Hell Knights fought on the same side obviously due to differences in beliefs which is why the demon civil war lasted so long. During the civil war they were difficult to kill, one of them could easily wipe out an entire battalion of troops.
King Liam fell back into his seat completely gripped with fear as he spoke. Then how was Lady Sage able to bare that mark? How was she able to use Demon magic let alone the flames of hell if she was human..........
Lady Keira sat all the way back in her seat with a look of sadness on her face. She was the only human to ever come close to mastering it but she couldn't use it as often as Lord Heart due to her being human, her body and soul simply couldn't withstand the after effects of using it. When she was recovering after saving Lord Corin after he had so foolishly charged into battle Lord Heart taught her while she taught him and Corin Alchemy during her recovery.
King Liam being struck with a fear that he has never experienced before shaking where he sat. So Lord Heart was one of them?
Looking directly into King Liam's eyes as she calmly replied, Lord Heart was a third generation pure blooded demon from one of the first and most powerful Demon warriors houses in all the kingdoms let alone being a third generation Knight of Hell. During his life he was the second most powerful Hell Knight just under the Second Lord of The Hell Knights, his older Brother Lord Durren. They were the Sons of Lord Mekel and Lady Briem. The first demons to ever touch the fires of hell itself and live.
With what little strength he has left Lord Montress utters his next sentence as he trembles So then this Alchemist, this mutt demon is the heir to the Knights of Hell and the lands that I currently have Stewardship over.
Yes darling Lady Keira answered back. But he isn't ready for that kind of responsibility at all. As you all have clearly seen he is still impulsive and can not fully control his emotions which alone makes him a danger to everyone let alone himself. And yes he has been trained to use his powers thanks to Lady Xina for she's a Knight of Hell, as well as many of my guard. Lady Xina served under his father as his second in command and followed Lord Heart wherever he traveled and promised him that if he died on the battlefield she would ensure he was prepared.
Lady Keira then let out a sigh and smiled softly at everyone as she addressed them again. But they will be fine alone together. For now let's focus on the current task at hand shall we?
