thief.

eddy was about to tear his entire apartment apart.

he had searched every closet, every bag, every couch cushion, and he still couldn't find it.

his closet floor was a mess after he ripped all of his clothes off of their hangers and emptied his drawers.

he couldn't find it anywhere.

all morning, he'd been looking, and still nothing!

no sign of his favorite sweater.

he could have sworn he left it hanging by the front door, but when he was getting dressed that morning he couldn't find it.

and it was freezing in his apartment.

sure, he had other warm clothes, but nothing as comfortable as the simple, oversized black jumper that he wore whenever he had the chance.

eddy slumped on his bed with a frustrated sigh, trying to retrace his steps.

two days ago, he had hung up the sweater by the front door.

and yesterday, when brett came over, he didn't move it.

he didn't wear it to sleep when brett left, so it should be in the same place, right? wrong.

he sighed again, and checked his watch.

brett was going to be there any minute now, and his apartment was in shambles.

and he still didn't have his sweater.

there were no options left. eddy had turned his entire apartment upside down and inside out to find this stupid jumper, but it wasn't there.

either eddy had some serious memory loss problems, or a thief with a thing for stealing his clothes had taken it.

eddy was trying to tidy up his closet again when he heard a key turn in the front door.

"hey, i'm here!" eddy could hear brett shout from the living room.

"i'm in here!" eddy yelled back, furiously shoving clothes back into drawers as he heard brett's footsteps approaching.

"hey, babe, have you seen—" eddy turned around, breathless from all the cleaning, and stopped when he saw what brett was wearing. "—you have got to be fucking kidding me."

"what?" brett said innocently, leaning into eddy's closet to give him a peck on the lips.

eddy tugged on the fabric of the large black jumper brett was wearing.

"i've been looking for this all morning!" he whined, "do you know how cold it is in here?"

brett sat on the edge of eddy's bed and crossed his arms.

"you aren't mad at me are you?" brett asked, eyes wide and pleading.

eddy couldn't resist brett's puppy-eyes, it was his eternal weakness. he couldn't be mad at brett, especially not when he looked so adorable in eddy's jumper. the black fabric contrasted nicely with brett's milky pale skin and the long sleeves drooped over his arms, covering his hands. now, eddy wasn't even sure if he wanted it back.

eddy stood in front of brett and pulled him in for a long kiss.

"no, i'm not mad at you," eddy confessed, "but when did you even take this?"

eddy snaked his cold hands under the black sweater, resting them on brett's warm skin.

"it was raining when i left last night, what was i supposed to do?" brett reasoned.

"you could have told me at least," eddy grumbled, feigning disapproval.

brett giggled at eddy's faux-angry expression and tilted his head up for another kiss.

"you know," eddy said in between kisses, "we wouldn't have this problem if you moved in."

brett pulled away, giving eddy a sly smile.

"perhaps we wouldn't."
