Wake Up The Relentless Ocean

Chapter 11

"Hey Noah, can I ask you a question?" I ask while grabbing two cups.

"You just did."

"Seriously?" I say while raising an eyebrow.

"Ok, what do you want to ask?"

"Why were you so worried about me? I mean I have no memory of you whatsoever and when I first met you I was so rude to you yet you still helped me by telling me about the ceremony, getting my regular clothes back, and saving me from drowning while we were coming to this island. So why do you care so much for me?" As I'm asking my question I get some water from the ocean and use my powers to purify it, then I put it in the two cups, but in one cup I add something a little extra to it. As Noah begins to answer my question I hand him one of the cups.

"Even though you may not remember we went through so much together, lots of good times and some bad times, but no matter what we were always there for each other. After your parents went missing a couple years ago you were so hurt, I never wanted to see you hurt ever again."

"Really?" He nods then leans in and starts to kiss me, I kiss him back and through out this little kiss I can see he is getting tired so I pull away. "You seem tired, you should go head to bed. I'll clean up then head to bed."

"Ok," he says as he begins to slowly make his way over to the tent. I grab both the cups and the leftover food and put them away. I then quietly make my way over to the tent, I pull open the door flap and peek in to make sure Noah is sleeping. I see him out cold.

"Yes the sleeping drink worked," I close the door flap and quietly start walking to my dad's house. When I'm a good distance away from the tent I start running, once I reach my dad's house I quickly walk through the magic barrier and head inside. I begin to call out to my dad as I walk through all the rooms, I find him in one of the living rooms on the couch.

"Aqua what are you doing here so late?" He gets up from the couch and walks over to me. "Did something happen?"

"I think I read Noah's mind," I say as I begin to pace.

"You think you read the boys mind? What did you hear?"

"I heared "How did she come back?! The blast from the magic protecting the house should have killed her. Now I'll have to find a different way to get the sapphire." so did I read his mind?"

"Yes you did, but why is it starting this early?" the second part he said more to himself.

"What do you mean why is it starting this early? Dad is there something I should be worried about besides the fact that Noah is working with Piranhagra and wants me dead so he can have the sapphire?"

"I see you talked to Atlas, good, I suspected the boy from the moment he first found this place. What did you do to him?"

"What do you mean what did I do to him?" I ask innocently.

"He isn't here, so that means he didn't follow you, so what did you do to make sure he didn't follow you?"

"I may or may not have put some sleeping potion in his drink." He looks at me for a minute then bursts out laughing.

"You really are your mother's daughter." He manages to get out between laughs.

"What do you mean by that? What did mom do?"

"When we first met she had just gotten the sapphire from her mother and thought I was going to steal it from her because I kept looking at it. So, at the party, her family was throwing to celebrate her for being ready to take on the sapphire's power she spiked my drink and took me to her room to question me."

"She really did that?"

"Yes, but we're off topic. We need to come up with a plan to get the boy away from here so I can start training you."

"We're going to have to do that next time I come because I didn't use much of the potion so he might wake up soon."

"Ok, we'll start on that next time."

"Oh and dad, where's mom?" He looks at the floor when I ask the question.

"I'll tell you when we start training."

"Ok bye dad."

"Bye sweety." I walk out of the house and start to jog back to the tent, as I get closer I slow down so I don't make too much noise. When I reach the tent I quietly get in and lay down I then hear Noah get up and groan.

"Aqua what time is it?" I pretend to be asleep, so he lightly nudged me so I make it look like he woke me up.

"What Noah?" I groan.

"Do you know what time it is?"

"I'd say it's about one or two in the morning." I then sit up and rub my eyes.

"Sorry for waking you up."

"It's ok."

"And one more question, why does my head hurt?"

"I don't know, maybe because of all the stress you went through yesterday." I say as I lay down.

"You're probably right, goodnight."

"Goodnight." He lays back down and falls asleep.

"Gosh that was close. I really need to be careful to make sure he doesn't find out I know what he plans on doing." I think to myself before I fall asleep.
