Wake Up The Relentless Ocean

Chapter 4

I hide in my room as people try to tell me congratulations. I don't want to do this I can't do this. How am I supposed to defeat a big sea monster? That's probably what tried to drown me earlier. If I couldn't do anything then how am I supposed to do something now? That thing must be huge! I have to leave before they get me killed, but how there are always people at my house now? Who would help me get away... Atlas! He always helps me. I find a window at the back of my house and climb through. Making sure no one saw me I then run to where I last saw Atlas.

"Atlas are you there?" I whisper loudly. "Atlas I need your help, please." I dive into the water and start swimming in hopes to find him. Unlike the first time, it works and I find him a little ways away from the village. When he sees me he makes some whistles and clicking noises and swims over to me.

"Atlas we have to get out of here. Everyone in the village wants me to fight this sea monster named Piranhagra-" Altas begins to freak out as soon as I say the name. Why? "Atlas, please calm down." I begin stroking his back, once he calms down I show him the sapphire. "It chose me, so now I'm supposed to fight that thing that tried to drown me or at least I think it was the thing that tried to drown me, that's why we need to leave. Will you help me?" He looks behind me then whistles at me telling me to turn around so I do. I see Noah walking towards me.

"I thought I'd find you with the dolphin"

"As I have said before he has a name and it's Atlas!" I see him eyeing the necklace, so I decided to put it on. I see him glare at the action. I don't understand why does he want the necklace so bad? I mean who WANTS to fight a terrifying monster by their self. Well in a way I am not by myself because I have Atlas, and Atlas is all I need. "Why are you here anyway?" I make sure to put sass into my words.

"I went to see you, but I couldn't find you at your house so I thought you would be with your dolphin friend." He says that with a hint of aggressiveness.

"Geez calm down!"

"OK I am sorry but I just thought I was going to be chosen not my hot friend." I'm more than surprised at his remark, I mean... I just met him! What am I supposed to say to that? Thanks? Ugh, no that sounds so weird how about you're too kind or... Oh, I give up maybe I should just ignore the remark?

"Well just because you wanted this, but didn't get it doesn't give you the right to be so crude."

"Crude? How am I being crude?" He raises an eyebrow at me.

"You glared at me for just putting the necklace on then you talk to me with a snotty attitude," I say with an irritated tone. He is really starting to get on my nerves, I mean he said he is my friend so why is he acting like this? Especially after he just called me hot!

"Ok, ok I'm sorry. Everyone has just been saying that they are sure that the sapphire would pick me." He looks down with a sad look in his beautiful eyes. "So, I started believing everyone. I really believed that it would choose me so, I really am sorry." He looked and sounded sincere, but there was something off about his apology. I look into his eyes and see a hint of mischief them. I need to be careful of what I say and do around him.

"It's ok, I don't really want it anyway, but when I try to get rid of it, it just flies back towards me." I have no idea if that is true, so I really hope he doesn't ask me to show him.

"Oh ok, well if you ever need help learning how to use it I will be willing to try and help, all you have to do is ask." He gave me a reassuring smile.

"Ok." Yes, he didn't ask if he did I would have been in a very bad situation, and if he knows I don't trust him he will most definitely not be my friend or at least act like it. "Thanks, I might take you up on that offer." He turns to walk away but hesitates. He then dives into the water and grabs me. I'm about to ask what he is doing, but I'm stopped by his lips crashing into mine.
