Freezing Waters

I’m standing on a cliff full of despair and pain,

while below is a sea of tears and hurt.

One wrong step and the gravel beneath me will give way and I’ll fall.

Plummet into the freezing water,

as a painful gasp of water enters my lungs.

Kicking fiercely,

while my arms are movingly like a duck trying to fly.

Slowly the icy water numbs my body,

and feel my strength leave me.

As my eyes close I think of my knight,

the one who I wish would save me.

I dream then, of his face, his eyes, his mouth,

but most of all his love.

In the distance I hear a splash,

I try to open my eyes to see but it doesn’t work.

A soft warm hand grabs at my wrist,

and I feel us surface.

Trying to breath but still chocking on water,

and my body starts violently shaking.

A bright light is shining and I have to cover my eyes,

but I walk to it curious.

That’s what happen,

when my love fell to her death.

I wasn’t strong enough to save her,

so she got hypothermia and she drowned.
