The marble floor became the most interesting thing around me and I stared at the floor like my life depended on it because I couldn't look at Mr Donald straight in the eyes.
"Look at me Kathryn" he commanded
I slowly raised my head up and I saw him smiling down at me then I looked away again.
"Why did you say that to her?"
"I thought... you.. eerm.. You know, i--" I stuttered and he laughed
You heard me? Jaden Brain Donald laughed and wow it sounded so sexy
"Whatever your reason was just know you ruined my chance of getting laid"
"What? Must you always have sex in the office? what if I walk in on both of you?"
"That's your problem, I don't care"
"Its not nice, this is an office not a hotel!" I snapped
"My bad, I'll take them to my house instead so you don't have to worry about watching a live porn"
"No!.. I.. I mean you can do whatever you want. You told me you had to go somewhere with your mom today then why did you show up at the Anderson Enterprise?"
"She cancelled the appointment"
"Oh, okay"
"Yeah, you can have the day off. I have to be in Italy today" he stated all of a sudden and my eyes widened in shock
"When are you coming back?"
"I'll be back today, I'd have asked you to come with me but I know you'd argue and I'm not in the mood for that"
"You should have told me beforehand. Are you going in your private jet?"
"Yes, I have to leave now"
"Oh, bye" I mumbled
Time to go home.
I opened the door to my apartment and embraced the quietness that welcomed me. I locked the door behind me and removed my heels then went straight to my room.
I was removing my shirt when my phone rang. I fished it out of my bag and picked up without even checking the caller ID
"Hello?" A voice very familiar said at the other end
"Hi Jenny" I greeted, yawning.
"Where are you?"
"I'm at home Jenny, Mr Donald gave me the day off. When I was leaving I checked you at the reception but you weren't there"
"Why did he give you the day off?"
"He has to be in Italy today"
"Oh aren't you supposed to be with him as his personal assistant? and when is he coming back?"
"He didn't tell me beforehand and he's coming back today"
"So soon? I can't blame him he has a private jet. The main reason I called is because I need a favour from you"
"What's that?" I asked curiously
"I have a date today and he's not coming alone, he's coming with his friend because his friend wants to meet me so he pleaded with me to bring one of my friends along so that we can have a double date and his friend won't be bored"
"What made you think I'd go with you? you have other friends right?"
"I know but I want you to accompany me. Please just do this for me pretty"
