"Excuse me." A haughty high-pitched voice said. Jae sighed in annoyance and looked up from her math homework to see a girl with long hair and an angry expression on her face glaring down at her. She was the new girl nobody was supposed to talk to her. "Yes? Can I help you?" She said annoyed, the girl looked offended that she had talked to her like that.

She cleared her throat so it didn't look like it phased her, then glared down at Jae, who had stopped paying attention to her and grabbed a sandwich out of her bag and began to eat. The girl gave a disgusted look and cleared her throat again louder to get Jae's attention again. "Oh, you're still here? So listen, can you and your fake boobs leave so I can eat and wait for my friend in peace." Jae asked clearly annoyed with this girl.

The girl gasped and flipped her hair. Her face began to turn a dark shade of red from anger and embarrassment. "I just came to tell you to stay away from my boyfriend." She said placing her hands on her hips and glaring down at Jae. "I'm sorry who? I mean I've been for not even a whole day, how have I talked to your precious boyfriend?" Jae asked while eating her sandwich and looking up at this girl. "You were talking to Ha-Rin this morning." She said, like this was the most obvious answer. Jae sat there and looked at her to see if she was serious and when she realized that the girl was serious she began laughing.

"Excuse me! Why are you laughing?" The girl demanded. Jae continued to laugh and wiped her face as some tears trickled down her face. "You-" Jae sputtered as she drew in breath. "You are dating Ha-Rin. Ah, that is hilarious." The girl stomped her feet and walked away and ran into Kang almost making him drop his food. Jae rushed to help Kang and make sure he was alright. He smiled at her and told her he was fine and they began walking to their table.

"How is your first day?" Kang asked after he took a couple of bites of the japchae in his bowl. Jae shrugged and said. "Well, some girl thought I was flirting with her boyfriend." Kang gaped at her. "Were you?" He asked in shock. Jae laughed and shook her head no. "On the first day of school? No way. Plus I doubt anyone would want to date me here anyways." Jae signed and then took a bite of her sandwich.

Kang gave her a look and shook his head. "I hardly doubt that's true." He signed with a roll of his eyes and a playful smile. Jae laughed and shook her head at Kang and continued to eat.

"So, how was your first day of school?" Sokka asked as they buckled up in Minho's car.

Jae couldn't drive here until she was eighteen because she needed to get her drivers license here in Korea. She was already a citizen since she was born here but she still needed to wait.

"It was pretty good actually. Although some girl thought I was flirting with her boyfriend." Jae said with a roll of her eyes. Sokka cracked a smile as Minho laughed. "Who was it?" Minho asked after he finished laughing. Jae shrugged with disinterest. "Don't know and don't care." Jae answered. "I figured you would say that. I did see you made a friend." Minho said as he glanced over at her as they pulled out of the school parking lot. Jae smiled slightly and nodded. "Yeah he's new here as well. He's deaf." Jae said and turned to look at Minho.

"Really?" Sokka asked excitedly. Jae laughed and nodded. "Yeah, his name is Kang-Dae and he has blue hair. He's a lot of fun."

"I want to meet him! I've been dying to try out the sign language you and I have been working on together." Sokka squealed. Minho covered his ear with one hand and kept the other on the steering wheel. "I swear, there is some girl in you." Minho joked.

Sokka pouted and stuck his tongue out at Minho through the rearview mirror making Jae laugh. "Well, you can meet him tomorrow morning." Jae said turning to look at him with a smile. "Yayyyyy!!" Sokka cheered.

"Jae, am I dropping you off at the dancing studio so you can practice?" Minho asked as they stopped at a red light. "Take me home first so I can grab my dancing clothes, please." She said politely. "Of course." Minho answered. "Can I come?" Sokka pleaded. "As long as it's okay with your dad and you grab some clothes to dance in. I could teach you some stuff." Jae answered.

Jae adored Sokka, he's fifteen but he's truly a toddler at heart. Jae was actually pretty glad she had them as step-brothers. She loved Minho, he's so protective and even though she's older than him he was still protective of her. Jae almost thought that maybe he always wanted a sister just like she's always wanted a brother.

"Okay!" Sokka said with glee almost bouncing in his seat. Minho leaned forward and turned up the radio as some of the famous BTS filled the car. "Oh my gosh this is my favorite song!" Sokka squealed. "YOU'VE SHOWN ME I HAVE REASONS, I SHOULD LOVE MYSELF!!" Sokka bellowed in broken english causing both Jae and Minho to laugh. "Maybe he should be a singer." Minho said between laughs as Sokka continued to sing loudly in the background. Jae laughed and nodded. "The best singer there ever was."
