Cal woke up in his bed with two other people, Jonah and Remy curled up between them. He smiled over at the sleeping Jonah as he remembered the piano. Originally it was just supposed to be to calm down Remy, Cal had found that music always helped him during the many times he kept Remy under watch. What he didn't expect to learn was that Jonah could play, and majorly upstage him. Cal only really knew the basics but listening to Jonah play gained his interest.

His constant staring would.ve gone unnoticed if the front door hadn't slammed, startling Jonah awake. In his startled state he snapped his head toward Callum. Callum shot to his feet, clearing his throat as he walked towards the closet:

"Its just Cas. Nothing to worry about." He turned back to the bed, stopping in the closet doorway.

Jonah slid himself out of the comforter, tucking it around Remy, leaving Cal mesmerized.

"I'm gonna shower. You can borrow some clothes if you want to do the same." Cal mumbled as he watched Jonah for a final second.

"Okay, I'll wait till you're done. I don't want the kid to be alone when he wakes up." Jonah stated, without looking at Cal.

Cal nodded along even though Jonah couldn't see him, ignoring the slight ache in his chest. He grabbed some clothes randomly and went to his bathroom. He showered quickly and pulled on the red sweats and a blue shirt. Not really caring that it might be a weird combination. He rejoined Remy, allowing Jonah to go get ready.

Jonah watched as Cal ruffled the kid's hair before Remy ran into the elementary school yard. He could sense the other wolves. Two were teachers and he could feel the stares. He started to fidget, he knew a werewolf wearing a vampire's clothes was probably seen as odd considering how possessive they were, but he loved being wrapped in Callum's scent. Being the dominant creature didn't matter, not when he was away from his parents. He did feel guilty though.

"Ready to go?" A shinning Cal asked, snapping Jonah out of his Impromptu starring.

"Umm... yes." His cheeks heated slightly.

As Cal pulled him back to the car, he tried to think. Why was he feeling the need to be do close to the Vampire? It's how he's been feeling for the past couple of weeks, since he met the vampire. His wolf whimpers and whines but still he doesn't understand what the cause was.

The car was silent as Jonah stayed stuck in his thoughts and Cal allowed him the time to think, the quiet. Cal ended up having to drag him from the car, but he wasn't complaining. Only when they arrived at the balcony did Jonah snap out of it.

Lucas sat with Levi, legs dangling over the side. Jonah could feel the bit of despair from his alpha, likely due to the absence of his mate.

"Hey." Cal greeted, "Where's Cas?" He followed up as he joined his friends at the edge, taking Jonah down with him.

"Don't know." Lucas let out, "He hasn't even responded to my texts."

Cal sent a concerned look his way, "Have you checked the field?"

Cas rushed to school, not caring for the early hour, to get ready for a nonexistent practice. He didn't want to meet Lucas and the others in the commons, he didn't want to come to terms with already loving Lucas. He understood that they were mates, that this was inevitable. It's not like he'd confess just to have his heart broken because it was considerably too soon. They'd love each other eventually, they had loved each other the moment they met, it was about realizing it.

No matter the obvious he was scared to admit it. He couldn't even say he loved Cal, not because he didn't, just because he never felt he could say those words. He grew up believing that the second you cared for something it was taken from you, that that was how the world work. He was just scared he'd lose another loved one. If he never admitted it, it wouldn't hurt as much.
