Ramona
I went down to Richard's bar and asked for a job. Richard gave me one, knowing I needed the money and felt it was better for me there. The guys in the club didn't step out of line with me, or Richard took them in hand. I was off-limits to the members. It wasn't too bad, and the tips were decent.
I stayed at Jaden's, and Damien gave me his room while he slept on the couch. We talked, but that's all we did. I'm not the girl to jump back into someone's arms because they say they're sorry. I heard that too many times from people. Plus, the ads dumped me while I was in the hospital.
I kept myself busy and hung with Elise and Rocky. Both came to see me at work, and I took a break to talk.
"How's everything going?" Rocky asked me.
"It's getting better. The members leave me alone, and I'm socking money away for school," I answered.
"What about Damien and you?" Elise asked me.
"What about us? Damien dumped me, and I'm not going to jump into his arms because he says he's sorry," I told her as Elise looked at me.
The door opened and in walked the guys. Damien looked at me as I turned my attention back to my friends. We talked as I caught Damien out of the corner of my eye.
Damien, Rocco, and Jag sat down at the bar, and I watched some hoe make her way over to them. She got cozy with Damien as Elise and Rocky watched me. I watched as Damien snaked his arm around her waist as pulled her close.
"Careful Ramona, your jealousy is showing," Rocky mentioned as I looked at Damien and the hoe.
"I'm not jealous. Damien is single and can do whatever he wants," I said as I watched Damien and the hoe.
"Are you sure about that?" Elise asked me as I looked at them.
"I got to get back to work. My break is over," I said as I got up. I waited on customers as Damien nuzzled that hoe. I maintain my composure as I walked over to the bar, giving my drink orders to Rocco's mom.
I turned and leaned on the bar.
"Shouldn't you get a room, considering this isn't that kind of establishment," I mentioned to Damien.
"Why? It's a free country," he shrugged.
"Make sure you pay her well," I remarked as Rocco's mom, Rocco, and Jag watched us.
"Unlike someone else I know, Brandi isn't stubborn and knows how to fuck," Damien retorted as I looked at him with no expression.
"How about run along with little girl? Let a real woman handle a man like Damien," the hoe said as I looked at everyone.
"You're right. I have a job to do, the streets are calling your name," I told the hoe as she decided to try to hit me. I ducked and smacked her with my tray. When she stood up, I slapped her again as she tripped and fell. "Oops, my bad," I said the hoe laid on the floor groaning as everyone looked at me surprised. I looked at Damien. "Guess you'll need a new home since that one's damaged."
I walked away as I picked up a tray full of drinks and carried it to a table. I knew what Damien was doing, and he wasn't going to win.
I finished my shift and cleaned up as Rocco's mom helped me.
"Mind telling me what that was about earlier?" She asked me.
"Damien needs to make better choices," I said as I placed glasses on a tray.
"It seemed you were jealous," Rocco's mom mentioned.
"Yeah, right," I scoffed. "Damien is single. He can do whatever he wants," I denied.
"Romana, listen to me, I've dealt with my man messing around and handled it my way. Richard broke my heart, and it took years to get back on track, but I get it. It sucks, and that shit hurts, but Damien did it because he was looking out for you," Rocco's mom reasoned as I looked at her.
"I've dealt with shitty home life, a shitty father, and shitty people," I told her.
"That's a lot of shit." She gave me a look.
"I fall in love with someone, only to have that person who drops me at the first sign of trouble. That's not loving," I said as I took the tray to the back.
I finished up and left. I made my way to Jaden's as I heard a bike roar up by me. I looked and shook my head as I walked. The person rolled along with me.
"Shouldn't you be with some hoe?" I asked Damien.
"I would if that's what I wanted, but it's not," he said as I stopped and looked at him.
"What do you want from me?" I asked Damien as he turned off his bike and dropped the kickstand. He climbed off his bike and looked at me.
"I want you," Damien said as I rolled my eyes. He pulled me close to him.
"What if I don't want you?" I asked him.
"Then you're lying. Ramona, you and I are alike. We both are looking for the same thing. We're also stubborn, but I know one thing about you," he said.
"What's that?" I asked as I stood there.
"You love a bad boy, and I'm that bad boy," Damien said as he reached up and traced my bottom lip with his thumb. There was no denying my body was responding to his touch. Damien had that effect on me whether I admitted it or not. "Get on the bike," he ordered me as he released me. He climbed on his bike as I looked at him, then climbed onto the back of his motorcycle.
As soon as I was secure, he started his bike and drove off with me on the back and my arms wrapped around his waist. Something told me when we got back to Jaden's; all bets were off.
