"What did they say?" I asked, almost desperately.
People in the hall were staring at Michael and I but it felt like there was no one else around. To avoid anyone overheating what he had to say, not like it mattered, he leaned in and whispered two names. 2 names I know well.
Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood.
I nearly dropped my books from sudden shock. Calum was here? Did I somehow manage to get into the same school as him and what rumor has spread between Luke and I?
"Cali?" Michael brought me back to the hall.
"Hm?"
"Snap the fuck out of it. There's no truth to these rumors, so you'll be fine."
"Yeah, I guess so." I stared at Michael's chest, trying to figure out what people could be saying about me and those boys.
"Promise me something." Micheal tilted his head down, pushing my chin up with his finger to look him in the eyes.
"What?"
"Don't revert to the girl you were in America."
I nodded. "I need to head to class. See you around Mikey."
We went our separate ways and I got to class in time.
A couple classes later, the bell for lunch rang. I walked into the lunchroom after everyone was seated. I scanned the room for Michael but I spotted someone else instead. I walked over to their table, and sat down on the bench, turned towards Luke.
"Hey Luke. Who's this?" I pointed my thumb towards the boy with a bandana controlling his curly brown hair.
"That's Ashton Irwin, a huge ass and a-" Luke was interrupted by the boy cutting him off.
"Okay." He drew out his word to stop Luke from rambling on. Ashton grabbed Luke's attention, leaning over his open textbook in front of him to whisper something into Luke's ear. Whatever Ashton said, caused Luke to sit back slightly and stare off for a while.
"You good Luke?" I asked with a hint of concern in my voice.
"Oh, um, yeah." He said, unsurely.
My phone started ringing and when I took it out, Ashton's and Luke's eyes went straight to my case. Shit, I forgot I have Calum's picture behind my clear case so I wouldn't lose it.
"Pardon me, I have to take this."
•Ashton's POV
As Callista got up, I couldn't help but notice that she tugged the bottom of her skirt as she walked away.
"Why the hell are you calling me Michael? We are literally in the same room y'know-" She said on the phone, just before she was drowned out by the other students.
I turned back to Luke after I lost her in the sea of students.
"I wonder why she came over here." Luke asked.
"I think we were about to find out before 'Michael' called her or you were the only person she recognized." I retorted.
Suddenly, a burst of jealously sprouted. Who was Michael? I could help it, even though I have no reason to be jealous. She's not mine, hell, I just met the girl and who was in her phone case?
