Charles fell asleep pretty fast so Alice decided to go see how Mrs Andrews was getting on with the rest of the food, she could see FP outside by the grill with Fred and Mr.A and it made her heart swell, she was with him on and off for years and she still couldn't get over how handsome and amazing she was, she felt so lucky to be with him. FP knew Alice was insecure, not because she wanted to be but just because of the shitty cards she was handed in her life, but he always tried to show her that he loves her and only her.

He saw her looking at him threw the window and he just smiled at her and waved. God she was so gone for him.

"Things going well dear?" Mrs Andrews saw Alice smiling at FP.

"Very, had a little hiccup, Gladys, this northsider from our school had a baby, tried to tell FP the baby was his, but everything is good now." She said smiling. "He loves Charles so much and I'm so relieved he wasn't mad at me about the decision I made."

"He could never be mad at you, so what happened with Gladys?" She questioned Alice.

"FP told her there was no way the baby was his, the baby is about 2 months older than Charles, her and FP saw each other once at a party, were very drunk and slept together but FP knows 100% that they were safe, not that that means accidents can't happen, but he just had a feeling you know, only a week later FP and I got back together, and then of course I got pregnant with Charles shortly after, I didn't know if I could trust FP, I wanted to, but I have trust issues and stuff from my childhood especially, but deep down I know he was being truthful, they did a DNA test and then Gladys confessed to lying because she heard he had a son, and was in love with his son, and she didn't tell the father he had a child, she did eventually and I think everything has worked out for them."

"Well that's good then, everything looks ready in here so let's take it outside and eat now before Charles wakes up and needs some love." She said to Alice.

They picked up the salad and potatoes and headed outside, put it on the table and sat down, the burgers were done so Alice ran inside to get the ketchup and mustard and then everyone sat down and was about to dig in, but before that FP had a something he wanted to say.

"Before we eat, I just want to start by saying a few things, I really am not good with words but I am going to try here. First of all, I want to thank all of you for being there for Alice during her pregnancy and after, when I couldn't be. You have no idea how much I appreciate it, more than you'll ever know. Secondly I just want to say cheers to family, Alice and I don't have parents, so to us all of you are our family. The three of us are so lucky to have people like you in our lives for every step of the way. Thank you for giving me a job Mr. A, so that I can continue to provide for my family, they mean everything to me. That's all I have to say so let's dig in!"

They all started eating and laughing and just enjoying each others company together.

Things were going really well.
