About 4 hours later, I left Nevada City for Charming. I had to look all over until I finally found Jax's house.
When I walked to the porch, I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
I heard foot steps come toward the door, and to my surprise, Gemma had answered the door with Abel in her hands.
"Oh my god, Kyana is it actually you?" She asked as she put down Abel.
"It's me Gem." I said hugging her.
"Oh my god, I missed you." She said as she wrapped her arms around me.
"I missed you too."
"Come in." She said stepping away from the door and I walked in making sure not to step on Abel's toys.
"Where's the little guy?" I asked referring to Jaxs youngest, Thomas.
"I just put him down in his crib. You can go see him. It's the door on the left."
I slowly made my way toward the door and when I opened it, I saw the little blonde boy laying on his back.
"Hi Thomas," I said walking toward the crib with my boots clacking with each step I took. His blue eyes followed me as I got to the edge of the crib and picked him up,"God you've gotten big since the last time I saw you."
He did a little babble and both of our eyes met, "You're gonna look like your daddy one day, strong and handsome, and maybe you and Abel will take over the Sons," I smiled at him and he kept looking me in the eye like he knew what I was saying, "if your mommy was here, she'd say the same thing, but, things happen in life, and they're not all good. People who don't deserve what happens to them are always the nicest. You're mommy was one of them," I tried to keep tears back and a whole bunch of emotions stormed inside me like a volcano about to erupt, "your daddy is doing good with you and Abel, and your grandma Gemma is too."
When I said that I started to rock Thomas back and fourth in my arms as his head went behind my shoulder and he did a soft moan. When he did, Gemma walked in.
"Seems like you and Thomas are getting along."
I turned and smiled at her, "We are, I just got done talking about his dad to him and how he's gonna look like him."
"Its true." She chuckled.
"Is he asleep?" I asked making sure not to wake him up if he was.
"Yep." She said as she reached out her arms and grabbed him from me putting him back in the crib.
I walked out of the room and went to go sit on the couch when Abel got up from playing with his trucks and came toward me.
"Momma?" He asked as he looked at me with his brown eyes.
That's when all the emotions in me went to shards, "No Abel. I'm not your momma." I said picking him up off the ground and putting him on my lap.
Gemma walked out and sat next to me, "Abel recognize you?"
"No, he thought I was Tara."
"Oh," She said looking away.
"Yeah."
As she looked at me, she again picked Abel up and put him on the ground next to his trucks as he started to play again, "Let's talk."
"Ok? About what?"
"How've you been, I mean I haven't seen you in a while?"
"I'm doing ok, busy."
"Club?"
