I walked exactly to where my brother and father were buried from my memory, and I saw the carvings in the stone graves that sat next to each other, looking like a regular grave should.
Felix Arnold Blanchard
His death was never carved. Because we were not sure when they died.
And my father.
Wayne Arnold Blanchard
Jax walked behind me and watched me as I kneeled to their graves.
"So this is it?"
"Yep."
He kneeled down next to me and put his hand on my father's grave.
"You're dad was a good man Ky."
"I know he was."
"Is it ok, if I have a moment?"
"Yeah, that's fine." He said getting up and walking around to the other graves.
"Daddy. I'm finally here. I'm with someone who you don't like. I know you don't. But dad, if you can hear me, I want you to know that he is a good person. He's a changed man. I love him. And if anything happens to him, I'm not going to be able to go on. I hope you accept this. I hope you're proud of me because I know you're watching over me. I've brought Cry's to the real life hell but I promise dad, I'm gonna make this better. I promise."
Jax walked back over and again, looked over my father's grave and whispered something as he looked at me in the eye, "Ready?"
"Yeah." I said walking back toward the car.
"Why did you want to come out here in the first place?"
"Its my brothers birthday tomorrow."
"Oh."
When we got back home, I checked my phone as I sat down on my couch and Jax went into the kitchen.
I scrolled through my messages and I had seen that I got a strange text from a unknown number. I looked and it said,
I know you, you know me. Cut the act. I know everything about your life, love, and family. Confront me if you must, but you know who I am.
I looked around and quickly typed back,
Who is this?
Jax came back into the living room with a cup of water and he could tell something was wrong, because the look on my face was probably a mix of shock and fear. He sat down next to me and put his glass on the coffee table.
"What happened now?"
"Nothing." I said locking my phone.
"What was on your phone?"
"Jax. I'm fine. Nothing happened."
"Babe, I want you to be honest with me, if something happened please tell me."
My mind wandered a moment, should I really tell him what happened, or should I continue to lie?
"Jax," I sighed. It took me a moment as he raised his eyebrows and I breathed in deeply, "it was something on my phone."
"What was it?"
"A text that I got."
It seemed as like magic happened because my phone buzzed right after I mentioned it.
He looked at me in the eyes and nodded his head toward my phone. I took the cue and unlocked it revealing a text from the same number.
You should know. I haven't been gone long.
I looked at Jax and he had no words.
"Do you think it could be Zak?" I asked.
"There's only one way to find out Ky."
I looked at Jax and he motioned me toward the phone once again, and I did what I thought he'd asked me to do.
Zak?
We waited for a while and we never got a response back.
"It must be him." Jax said with frustration in his eyes.
"Jax, it could be anyone."
"But you asked if it was Zak, and they never replied, leading me to think that Zak's not saying something. He doesn't want you guys to know what he's hiding. He might be behind all the killing, for Christ's sake, he might be the one who's leading you guys down the hole. It's the only possible outcome."
"Jax, just because you think it's Zak, there's just not enough evidence."
"For Jesus Christ, Kyana! Stop taking Zak's side. There's clearly something he's not telling you guys and it does add up Ky. The picture, how Dean and Tyler both died right after one another, and on the picture they're right next to each other," He stared, "and what about the text messages, when you asked if it was Zak, he never replied. Does that not lead you to some type of conclusion?"
"Babe, Jax." I said walking over to him, putting my hand on his chest, "I'm not going to take his side, but it could be someone impersonating, you have to think of the outcomes. If it was Zak, I'd kill him. Just like you did to Gemma, I'd send his ass to the grave. If Zak didn't, whoever is trying to be him or imposter him, they're up to something we can't explain. Jax, I'm going to ask the Ghosts if they know anything on the killings of Dean and Tyler."
"Kyana, don't."
"Why?"
"Because, they're not gonna tell you anything. You got the Sacramento Rivals after all of us and where there's the Sacramento Rivals, there's always the Ghosts creeping behind."
"So now you're changing you mind?"
"No, I'm not saying that."
"Well to me it sounded like you went from believing Zak killed them and now you go to the Sacramento Rivals, make up your fucking mind Jax!"
"I don't want to fight with you Kyana. I don't."
"Then tell me. If you know something, just say it!"
"Babe, if I knew anything, I promise, I'd tell you first."
I just stayed silent after that. I didn't want to fight with Jax. I kissed him and got up, putting my phone in my pocket and getting my keys to my Harley.
"Where are you going?" He asked as he stood up, grabbing his keys out of his pocket.
"I need to go see someone." I said as I opened the door.
"I'm not going to let you go alone Ky."
"Jax, sometimes you have to trust me to do things on my own, ok? I'll be back in a while. If you want, just head back to Charming now, because I might head there."
"What do you mean?"
"Jax, do as I say, and don't ask me anymore questions. I have things to figure out outside of Nevada City."
I could tell he was going to ask me where I was going again, but, I walked out and looked at my phone.
I had an idea of where he was, but it wasn't here, it was in Sacramento, he was at an old shop. It was the only place he'd run.
