Samantha Carter, a renowned astrophysicist and engineer, successfully led the Stargate Command (SGC) in this reality. Her exceptional skills and expertise made her the ideal candidate for the role, as acknowledged by her colleagues. However, Samantha herself would not agree with this assessment, as she knew she had done an outstanding job. Despite her humility, she was often accompanied by Cassandra, who would frequently remind her of her accomplishments and encourage her to acknowledge her own credit.

Sam huffed, "Cassie! How many times must we go through this? Anyone else could run this place better, and you know it!"

"The hell I do! Listen to me! I see you run this bucket time and time again, I also have seen it run under General Hammond. He told me countless times that you have done a better job than he could have ever done."

Sam stopped what she was doing. She looked blankly into space. "I will miss him."

She grabbed her chin gently and turned it towards her. She said, "Sam... girlfriend... he wouldn't want you to mourn his death after... what is it... three months now?"

"Actually, short of three months. I have so many memories of us working together. In all the realities I was in, it was so wonderful to work with him."

"That's why you need to stop being a butthead and realize how important you are to this SGC."

"I might if I weren't doing so much for the Jedi Knights. I hardly have the time to focus on who I am or where I am. I honestly forget that I am in this reality. My mind is on what went on before I first visited here."

She stood there quietly for a few moments.

"What are you smiling about?"

"I'm smiling at you." She waited for Sam to ask.

"Why?"

"That's better. From the stories you told me before that sweet Master Tumok Brugnat fully trained you to be a Jedi Knight, you and Jack visited Earth for a few days, and when you were a full Knight, you came back permanently. It's funny that you were mirroring this part of your life."

In what she said, Sam smiled and laughed at it all. "I lived an interesting life. I wouldn't say that makes me special or anything."

"Karabast! Your remarkable story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration to those who follow in your footsteps. Your unwavering dedication to the Jedi Code and your unshakeable commitment to justice have earned you a place among the most revered figures in the galaxy."

"Please have a seat." When she did, Sam continued, "all those things I have accomplished anyone could have performed. Just because I have some powers that can create and be the Force, design the Stargate System, and save everyone's lives doesn't make me great."

"Numa! Cea ohk a xailja bo ti'ekan frotz. Do babee dan cahsinark fi'sehan nie karnu'ket kue ji salek dan cliee ercae ootay cea a'salran rai'ata. «Spoken in Ryl: Sister! That is a load of rakghoul shavit. I wished you would stop making excuses on the merit you went through hell in that alternate reality.»"

Hothok walked into Sam's office.

Cassandra got up and said to her, "Can you help me knock some sense into this woman?"

She smiled as she looked at Sam, "If the royal ass-kicker can't do it, I wonder who can."

Sam huffed, "I just don't know why all of you are making a fuss over me. I know I have worked hard, but..."

Hothok interrupted, "Please don't get confused with the everyday life and the hard work you have done. Yes, anyone else could have worked hard as you have done, but it was you that gave us all the ultimate results. War doesn't make one great, but the hard work you have done made all the difference."
