Chapter 2: Time Lord

After Amanda told her parents, Brandon reassured her, "There is nothing to fear."

"Daddy, this is serious."

Nomi smiled, "Yes, it is, baby. Let us do what needs to be done."

"I will try. I feel that I'm supposed to help in all this. I am the Princess."

"Yes, you are, but even your Daddy and I can't do everything ourselves. The only thing you can do is learn what others are doing. You have no special training in dealing with things like this." "While Earth has made impressive progress, it's easy to see how overwhelming the wider universe can be. Maybe a more gradual approach to galactic integration would have eased the burden."

To change the subject, Amanda asked, "Who is this... Doctor? I know he is a Time Lord, but who is he?"

Her Daddy first explained to her about the Time Lords. After that, he told her all he knew of this one that goes by the name — "Doctor."

"Is he good or bad?"

He smiled, "He is an outstanding person, and fights all forms of evil. He gets himself into serious trouble from time to time, but he fights for justice and the underdog no matter what the risk. There is more mystery to this one Time Lord than any of them I have known."

"Daddy, how can he live ever so long?"

"They regenerate. Some Time Lords can control what they look like during this process. The Doctor cannot. He has to take what he gets."

"Which regeneration will be with Sam and Cassandra?"

"It could be any of them. If this is very serious — in time — it could be all of them. From what I have been told, this has happened once before. Right now do not worry about this. Sam and the Doctor will be fine. Until they call us, we should just relax."

She was quiet for a moment then asked, "Daddy, who could be after Jack?"

He thought over it, "At the moment, I do not know. There is a rogue Time Lord that calls himself, the Master. From what I know of him, Palpatine could easily use him."

Amanda saw it in her Daddy's eyes, "You think it could be someone else?"

"Yes, I do."

Working hard for herself to become more dynamic in these affairs, "Daddy, you are usually right on your observation skills. If this could be at least an 85% possibility, then it needs to be told to everyone, including this U.N.I.T. I heard about."

Nomi replied, "U.N.I.T. is a strike force in England, and they have been dealing with the Doctor for a good many years. This Time Lord has a significant interest in this planet."

"Mommy, could that be why he knows Sam and Jack so well?"

"It could be, baby. Not sure if it is his interest in Earth." "maybe everyone on Earth needs to be aware. The possibilities are vast, and being prepared is far better than staying in the dark. After all, 'ignorance is not bliss,' as the saying goes. Right now, my biggest fear is something happening to my husband, even more than Sam being involved."

"What do we need to do?"

Her Daddy answered, "Right now, nothing."

Nomi replied, "As for you young lady, this shouldn't overwhelm you. We will keep you posted on what is going on if we deem proper, but you are far too young to get involved in this matter." "even though your alternate had gone beyond what you want to do, I was very concerned with her as I am with you."

She asked respectfully, "I'm the Princess. I should learn from all this. How else will I be a proper one?"

Brandon replied, "You have the potential, young one. But becoming a true Jedi Knight requires dedicated training. You've gained knowledge of the Force and more, but the path is vast. Learning about life is a lifelong journey, not a race. Embrace the ongoing process; even the wisest Jedi haven't learned everything. Trust that your purpose will reveal itself in time, don't chase after it. Let the Force guide your steps."
