Chapter 7: The Hair of a Blueblood

Suddenly there was a silence; but before I could say anything we hear guards coming down the steps.

"Go now" she pushes out the hole and closes the cupboard right behind us. We end up in a small cave with a large opening at the side that was covered by vines. We run out the opening and began to run east of here, it was hard to see in the dark and we all ran into a couple of trees and bushes.

"We won't be able to make it to the village unless it's day, it's too dark out here right now" Lance says as he tries to look around.

"I have an idea, but it'll only be open for a few seconds" Michael says as he begins to open a portal with a small necklace he had in his hand. It was a small portal to the village and it was very unstable, "go through it now I can't hold it much longer" Lance and I quickly run through it and before it completely closes Michael jumps through and barely makes it out.

"Ugh that really hurt..." Michael says as he collapses on the floor.
"What is that in your hand that you used to open the portal" I ask, trying to get a good look at the pendent.
"Oh this? It's a pendant my father gave me, he said it's some kind of relic of some sort. Though I only use it to open portals, it's not really important" I grab the pendant out of his hand and check my bag for a book.

"Hey, what are you doing" Michael tried to get his pendant back but I move away and continue try finding a page in my book; when I finally find it the page some of it had meet in a different dialect. "Michael, this ain't no ordinary relic, you have one of the Haven relics" I continue reading more, " this is the demonic relic, it was said that Aovie had gave the demon king this relic to create the under world and be able to open portals wherever they want. How did you get this?" I ask Michael trying to find more information on the pendant.

"Like I said, my dad gave it to me"

"And who exactly is your dad?" Lance asked

"...the information I don't wanna share" Michael said as he gave a nasty look at Lance.

"We'll ask more questions later, how about we find a Inn to stay at till Aliza comes" I put my book away and put on Michael's pendant.

"I'll keep this till I'm done finding all of its information, now let's go you two" I say getting up and walking into the village.

Lance and Michael still were giving each other nasty looks, I was just busy finding a place to stay in for the night. Everyone in the town was mostly men, and young children who played on the streets while their mothers cook. I see a near Inn sign and walk over to it, it was actually a tavern so a Inn and bar mixed together.

"Woah! There are so many drinks here, how about we try to ale you guys" Michael tries walking away to the bartender.

"Uhh if you haven't noticed buddy, you're not going to drink at all cause one, we have no money. Two, you're too young; three you're gonna behave yourself or else you'll have Kai on top of your back. And you know she doesn't take certain things lightly" lance says as he holds Michaels shirt collar.

I walk up to the bartender and sit down, "excuse me, is there a way we can get a room for tonight" I ask nicely.

"Ah a young maiden, I indeed have a room for you and your friends over there. The only thing is lass it's a one bed, though it's very large for you to share. The rest are all occupied for the night."

" I take the room, how much" I dig in my bag for some money.

"Hmm since you're a sweet lass and we rarely get visitors, it's on the house. It's free" the gentleman smiles, he seemed young actually, not old at all. Though the way he speaks sounded like he was older than he actually was; he seemed around his mid 20s.
