Chapter 5

These last 2 months have been the best I can ever remember having. Regina and I have spent every day together and now we are celebrating our 2 month anniversary. I got us a motel room at the beach for the 3 day weekend getaway. It's not such a big deal. We've slept in the same bed before without having sex. I open the door to our room and we walk in. It's a basic queen sized bed. The room is also basic with a tv a microwave and a small refrigerator. After we unpack I lay on the bed. "Emma what are you doing?"  "It's nap time babe. Come on". I say patting the spot next to me but she just sits on the bed. "I thought we were going to have dinner".   "We still can. I just wanted to rest a minute. Our shift today seemed so long".  That makes her snuggle into me. "I know what you mean. I think it was the anticipation of getting away for the weekend that it felt like that".  I just nod and hold her while she has her head on my chest. I kiss her head and ask. "What do you want for dinner babe?"  "I'd like to try one of the seafood  places you were telling me about".  "Yum. Yes. I could go for some lobster". We head over to Browns Lobster Pond and it's busy. We knew it would be it's summer and everyone wants seafood. We ordered a fisherman's platter to share and I got a steamed lobster with butter to go with it. The cashier gives us a ticket and we go sit at an outside table and wait for our number to be called. We found a spot looking out at the water. It's a beautiful August evening and there are a few boats floating around. I put my arm around Regina and rub her back. "You ok babe? Your a little quiet". "Yes. I'm sorry. Everything is fine. It's just so relaxing sitting here with you".  "Ya it is. Thank you for agreeing to come away with me". Regina was about to speak when over the loudspeaker I hear our ticket number being called. "I'll go get it babe. Be right back". I kiss her cheek and go back inside. The food was delicious. We ate all the seafood and only had some fries leftover. "Oh, Emma. I'm so full".  She says rubbing her belly.  "So I take it you liked it".  "It was so good. I'm glad we shared it. I could never have eaten that all by myself". "I know me too. Wanna go back to the room for a little while?  We have a few hours before the fireworks go off tonight".  "Sure. I could rest a bit". We get up and I take our tray and throw the trash out. When we get back to the room we just snuggle on the bed and end up falling asleep. A while later we are awoken by bang sounds and it startles us. I put my arms protectively tight around Regina. It takes a moment to realize that it's the fireworks making the sound. "Oh no my love. We're Miss the fireworks".  "Let's step outside, we can see them from here".  We go out quickly and we can see the fireworks lighting up the sky. "Those were so beautiful. I'm glad we could see them".  "I'm happy you like them babe. Wanna take a walk up and get some fried dough or something?"   "Actually sweetheart there's been something on my mind that I'd like to talk to you about".  We go in and sit on the bed. "Did I do something wrong?"  "No my love. It's nothing like that. I've been thinking lately that I may be ready".  "Ready for what?"  "To be with you Emma. Intimately I mean".   "Regina. I ahh. I don't know what to say. I hope you don't feel like I'm trying to pressure you because I got this room. That really wasn't my intention I swear".  "I know that Emma. I've been thinking about this for a few weeks. I've been waiting for love and I feel that with you. I feel a lot of different things with you and that's why I think I'm ready for the next step with you".   "I'm not really sure what to say".  "Well I was expecting you to be a little more excited. Do you not want to have sex with me Emma". "Oh god no Regina it's definitely not that. There is nothing I would like more than to be with you that way. I just want to make sure that your ready for that step and that your not doing it because you think that's what I want from you. I mean I do, but I'll wait till your really are ready".  "I am ready sweetheart, but I would like to take it slow. I hope that's ok with you".  "Yes of course. So when did you want this to happen?"  "How would you feel about tonight".  I give her a gentle kiss. "When ever you want baby. I'll go at your speed. I don't want to hurt you babe, but you know it will especially in the beginning right?"  "Yes. I have heard that. And I'm definitely not looking forward to that part".   "I think it would be best to get all the necessary things to make sure we are ready to do this. I didn't bring any condoms with me because I wasn't expecting this".  "It's actually ok Emma. I started taking the pill when we began dating".  "Ok good. Did you happen to bring any kind of lubrication. Just in case".  "No damn. I didn't. I'm sorry".   "It's ok babe. There is a pharmacy a few miles away. I'll drive over and get us a few things and then we can take things from there".  "Emma my love. Thank you for doing all this". She says as she gives me a hug and a kiss. "Regina you don't have to thank me. I'm just trying to make this hurt as little as possible. I love you. I don't want to hurt you, but I know part of this will and I don't like that. I just hope soon enough it'll be pleasurable to you".
