The New Girl

Chapter 17

At 1:30 we met Regina's parents in the foyer just as the door bell rings. It's was the driver to the car we are taking over to see the house. We all walk outside as Henry closes the door behind us and the driver opens the door to the limo that we are riding in. I wasn't really that surprised we were taking a limo. Mills Enterprises has a lot of company vehicles of all kinds. They have cars, trucks, a jet and a helicopter. Mills Enterprises has been around for many years. They are basically a conglomerate company and they have been very successful and they really care about all their employees and all the employees of the companies that they acquire. Henry Mills is one of the best men that I have ever met in my life. Before I knew it the car came to a stop and Regina told me that we were at the house. I guess I was in a daze for the whole ride because it seemed like it took no time at all. We get out of the car and I look at the house. "Holy crap". They all turn and chuckle at me. "Holy crap in deed dear". Regina says and then takes hold of my hand. Cora and Henry walk over to a man and they hug him. Then Regina and I walk up to join them. Cora says. "Jefferson you remember your cousin Regina and this is her fiancé Emma Swan". He hugs Regina and I shake his hand. "Congratulations on the engagement ladies. How about I show you all around?" We all smile and nod. We walk in the big white front door with the golden numbers that read 108. The foyer is gorgeous and I already know this house is going to be a dream come true to for Regina and I. We walk up 4 steps that leads to many open rooms and a few with closed doors. Jefferson speaks. "These rooms can be used for what ever you like, a sitting room, a living room, this here is a perfect room for a home office. This room to the your right would make a lovely dining room because it has a door that leads to the kitchen, which that door right over there is the kitchen". He starts walking over to that door and we all follow him. The kitchen is friggin huge. I can so see Regina and I making dinner together in here. I look over at Regina and she's loving this kitchen. I know how much she loves to cook. Then Jefferson took us upstairs. The stairs seemed to go on forever. He showed us all the bedrooms and then we finally got to the master suite. It was huge. We could easily put 2 king sized beds in here if we wanted. It has 2 big walk in closets, a fireplace and a private bathroom. "Emma. Look at this room. It gorgeous. Look at the big closets and look over here we have a private patio. We could relax out there under the stairs before we go to bed. Oh sweetheart, wouldn't that be so wonderful?"  I take her in my arms and kiss her. "I definitely agree babe that this house is absolutely beautiful".  I kiss her again then Jefferson says. "If everyone is ready I can show you my favorite part of this place". We all follow him down to the basement door. We walk downstairs and we are suddenly in my dream room. It's pretty much the whole area of the house. Regina looks at me and lets out a big laugh. I turn to her and blush. "What?"  I ask. "Nothing my love. You just look so cute when you are excited about something. You like this room the best don't you?"  I smile and nod. Then we all follow Jefferson outside to look at the front yard and then we walk around to the amazing backyard. There's a great in ground pool and an awesome big patio. When the tour was over Jefferson and Regina's parents walked out to the front of the house while Regina and I took a few minutes to ourselves here in the big backyard. I'm holding her in my arms and she asks. "So what do you think my love?"   "Babe. Wow. It's absolutely beautiful". I see a smile come to her face. "If you agree, I think we should take your parents up on their engagement/wedding gift. What do you think?"  She wraps her arms around my neck so tight I almost choke. She's so excited that she was jumping up and down till she finally jumped up and wrapped her legs around my waist. I couldn't help but laugh. "Does that mean you agree babe? I'm not sure". I laugh at my own question. She kisses me over and over. "Yes Emma. I want to live with you forever in this house. I want to raise our children here and I want to have all our grandchildren here all the time". She kisses me again. "Thank you my love". I have tears in my eyes now. When she said children and then grandchildren. That totally got to me. My family. My true family that Regina and I will create together. "Baby lets go tell everyone that this is our home now and to get out because we need to start christening every room".  She lets out a big laugh and we go out front to meet her parents and Jefferson. "So ladies what do you think?"  Jefferson asked and Regina and I looked at each other and smiled. She spoke for us. "Well Jeff, mother, daddy. Emma and I absolutely love this house and we can't wait to make it our home. So if the offer is still on the table we will definitely take it". Cora and Henry both wrap us in a big hug. After a few minutes we separate and I say thank you to both of them. Now it's my turn to say something, and I'm feeling a bit emotional about this whole thing. "Honestly. Cora, Henry. I cant believe how much you have welcomed me into your lives and your home. You have never treated me less than anything other than a person that is in love with your daughter. I've never felt like that before. I was always judged because I never had a family, so that's why I kept to myself. When the Nolan's adopted me that was my first experience with a family, but I always felt that they adopted me because I looked similar to David. So it took me a long time to really appreciate their love. You both on the other hand made me feel like I was one of you from the start. Never once did you make me feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in your lives. Thank you so much for that and thank you for raising such a wonderful young woman that I now love more than anything in the world. I really do love you both with all my heart".  I finish my little speech as tears roll down from my eyes. I hate when I get emotional but this was all the truth. Regina puts her right hand on my left cheek and looks deep into my eyes. "Emma that was some of the most beautiful words I have ever heard you speak. Thank you so much my love. We all love you so much. There is no need to worry about that ever again". Jefferson tells us that he can have papers drawn up as early as tomorrow afternoon and as soon as everything is signed this place will be mine and Regina's. We all shake hands and Jefferson leaves. "So how about we all go grab some dinner?  There is a New Mexican restaurant just on the other side of town. I hear the food is so delicious and the sangria will knock you on your ass". We all laugh because we've never heard Cora talk that way. I guess she's just excited for us. We all agree and get into the limo to go have dinner and definitely some sangria.
