A Pokemon Performer (a pokemon black & white fanfic)

Chapter 1: Crashing into a New Friend

Oh my gosh! I can't believe I'm finally ten years old. Why are you all psyched about turning ten, you ask? Well, my dear friends, becoming ten is the most important day of a Pokemon trainer's life or Pokemon performer's. It's where you choose a grass type, a water type, or a fire type Pokemon as your partner. Then, the professor of the region that you live in, will give you your Pokedex and poke-balls. After that, you travel through towns and cities to battle or compete. In my case, it would be competing. Why? Because my dream is to become a Pokemon performer. You see, I've always loved Pokemon and dancing ever since I was small. So I decided to train Pokemon to dance and compete in competitions.

I got dressed in my orange zip up sleeveless jacket with a black shirt underneath. My capris were dark blue with ripped seams at the bottom of the legs. But I put on my orange knee high converse shoes, so it didn't matter. I walked over to my dresser that was filled with my family's pictures. There was one with my mom and dad. Just my mom. Then my dad and then me and them. My mom was traveling around the world with my dad to become the world's top coordinator and my dad was to become a pokemon master. So while they were out traveling, I have stayed at my aunt's house for seven years now. I took my orange beanie and placed it on top of my head. I wore my hair in two low ponytails so there wouldn't be two bumps at the back of my head. I looked at the mirror which was on my dresser and glanced at a pretty and awesome girl. Her hair was jet black with red tips. Her brown eyes glistened in the morning sunlight and her tanned skin glowed along with the rays.

"AK, you're going to be late for your choosing with Professor Juniper!" yelled Aunt Hilda. Her raspy voice snapped me back to reality and I glanced over at my clock:

12:57

Darn it! I was supposed to see Professor Juniper at one. I grabbed my orange and yellow backpack, rushed out my room, dashed down the stairs, and rushed outside. I got onto my bike and sped down the road to Juniper's laboratory without saying goodbye to Hilda. I love her and all but her hugs are like a Hippowdon laying on top of you.

As I got to Professor Juniper's lab in Nevema Town, I noticed a person running towards me.

"Watch out!" I slammed the brakes but I was going so fast, I literally ran into him. I grunted and looked at my bike. It was completely totaled. "I'm gonna kill someone if they don't do something about my bike!" I got up and noticed that the guy and his Pikachu were staring at me. Wow, I thought. I've never seen a Pikachu in the Unova region before.

The boy wore a red and white hat with the white part was a Poke-ball icon. He wore a blue and white hooded jacket. He also wore gray baggy pants with dark red hi-tops. He had zigzags on his cheeks and raven messed up hair. His Pikachu looked strong and healthy but it also looked like it was beaten in a battle.

"You better watch where you're going from now on!" I yelled.

"A simple 'hello' or an 'I'm sorry for running into you' would've been nice!" he yelled back.

I crossed my arms and stuck out my jaw. "Fine. Hello and I'm not sorry for running into you."

"I can live with that," he said. "Hi, I'm Ash from Pallet Town."

"I'm AK and I'm going to be late getting my starter Pokemon. " I mumbled then realized that I was going to be late as I started picking up my destroyed bike and began walking towards the door.

"Hey, that's awesome. We could go in together," Ash said, walking beside me.

"Really?" I asked, unsure and sarcastically.

"Yeah." So we walked up the stairs and into the sliding glass door. I was going to place my bike beside the door but Ash ran ahead of me and I decided to follow him so I dropped it and ran after him. It seemed that he was running towards a room and something in my mind came to thought. Why does Pikachu look hurt and why is Ash running to the back room?
