After the sibling battle, we continued on our way. Iris proudly walked in front of Ash and me, who were catching up.

"So, Ash, what did you do when you were in Pallet?" I asked.

"I mostly visited Professor Oak's lab and played with other people's pokemon when I was younger. What did you do?" He asked.

"I hung out with my best and only friend in the mountains, where our secret hidout was located whenever we had family problems." I said.

"You had family problems? " he joked. "I heard that Aunt Hilda was a nice woman."

"She is. She makes the best homemade berry pie in the world and she gives the strongest hugs. It's like a Snorlax laying on top of you. But it was my friend who always had family problems." I explained.

"What's your friend's name?" asked Iris. Before I could answered, we fell into a pithole that looked like it was six feet deep. I landed on my stomach and it was painful to get up. I could have sworn that I cracked a rib or something but I didn't. I landed on a pair of red sunglasses.

Whoever dug this hole, said Gina. Must have drop it.

I agreed.

"Is everyone okay?" shouted a voice. I looked up to find a girl with a blue hoodie jacket, brown cargo pants, and goggles at the top of her head. We all nodded as she helped us out.

When everyone was out, I asked, "Who dug this hole?"

"A Sandile." answered the girl.

Ash got out his pokedex and searched Sandile. It said, 'Sandile. The rock crocodile pokemon. Sandiles can dig up to 6 feet beneath the surface.'

That would explain the hard fall but it didn't explain why I found a pair of sunglasses at the bottom.

I handed them to the girl and said, "I accidentally fell on these and I was wondering if these were yours." She shook her head.

"They're not mine." she said, waving her hands. I pulled it away and placed them in my backpack. "The name's Victorya, by the way."

"Nice to meet you," I said. "This is Ash, Pikachu, Iris, Axew, and my partner Gina."

"Nice to meet you too," she said.

"Come and stay with me for a while."

"Where do you live?" Iris asked. Victorya pointed to a range of mountains.

"I live in a hotel, that is located at the foot of the mountains." She said. My eyes widened. Was she talking about the hotel that was famous for its sandbaths and hot springs?

"You live in a hotel?" asked Ash, astonishingly.

Victorya nodded.

"Yes, I live and work there with my parents." she said. She then had us follow her to the nicest hotel that I've ever seen. The hotel had an old Japanese structure with glass windows and a giant sliding wooden glass door that was painted with beautiful paintings of pokemon and a mountain.

We walked around it and we found a sandbath. Me, Gina, Ash, and Pikachu looked at each other and I could tell what all of us were thinking. We took off our clothes and put on our swimsuits and into the sandbath.

It was so relaxing and peaceful until Iris said, "Such kids."

"Hey," I shouted. "Its basically a once in a lifetime opportunity to be in a sandbath."

I agree, mate, Gina said.

"Whoa, your pokemon can talk?" asked Victorya. Here we go again, I thought to myself.

"Telepathy," I remarked. I closed my eyes and relaxed for a bit until I felt a hard, pointy...thing, poking beneath me. I got out of the sand and saw a Sandile with a worried look on his face.

I slowly walked up to it and kneeled down and asked, "Are these yours?" As I pulled the sunglasses out from my back pack, his face literally lit up. I grinned and put it on his face.

Thank you, human, he said.

"My name is AK but your-, " he then left before I could finish saying, "welcome." I stood in one place, looking at the hole that he dug. I wondered what he was doing here, other than for his sunglasses.

"Hey, AK," called Ash. I looked back at him. "Let's go to the hot spring. " I nodded as I picked up my clothes and followed Ash to a big pool of water. Gina and Pikachu, happily jumped in but they seemed rather disappointed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

The water's colder than a hot spring, said Pikachu, getting out and shaking his fur.

"What did they say?" asked Ash.

"Pikachu says the water's colder than a hot spring." I said. "But a hot spring is supposed to be a spring that is hot. Right?"

He shrugged.

Iris came between us and said, "Of course, a hot spring is suppose to be a spring that is hot." She was right. I dipped my foot in the water and it was cold.

"Victorya, why is the water cold?" asked Ash.

"I don't understand." She said, upset.
"The last time I checked to make sure that it was at the correct temperature was this morning. This afternoon, my parents went to go find out what was wrong." She then started to walk towards the moutains.

Ash and I rushed to her and asked where she was going. "There's a pipe that leads the hot water from the mountains to here near the hotel. Maybe my parents went to go there."

"Let us help, Victorya." said Ash.

"It's the least we can do after you let us stay." I added.

"Thank you," she said. Ash and I put our clothes on over our swimsuits as we followed her up the mountains.

This seems like a mystery, said Gina.

"Yeah, it sure does," I agreed. I've always played mysteries around the house when I was younger. I would hide Hilda's priceless necklace and when she asked where it was, I would say, 'Detective Alicia Kit, ready for solving mysteries!' Aunt Hilda would laugh and just play along.

"Let's call this 'The Mystery of the Missing Hot Spring'."

Let's catch the culprit who stole the hot water, she said.

"Aye Aye, Detective Gina."
