"Is the camera really necessary Kory?"
There, Justice sat upon her desk, a jar of peanut-butter in one hand and her dignity barely holding on by a thread while the white-haired boy held a camera in daring of her. The room was noisy with the others cheering and still chanting "justice over justice!", eager to watch the brunette down peanut-butter while singing the famous backstreet boy song.
"Of course it is, wouldn't wanna miss one of your moments Jus," he teased, having begun recording a little earlier in the event she'd say something sassy.
"You're a butthead," she jeered before poking her tongue out, the boy laughing as the chanting got louder once again.
"Justice over Justice! Justice over Justice!"In fact, they were so noisy, that they hadn't noticed the door opening and closing, a certain black-haired elf now present in the room and confused as ever.
"Alright, quiet!" Tobias said, hushing the group to small mumbles.
Once he was satisfied with the noise level, he smiled and turned to Justice.
"When you're ready."The girl gave them all a glare as she scooped some peanut-butter into the large spoon she was given, giving it a moment more before she stuffed it into her mouth.
"You are, my fire, the one, desire, believe, when I say," She began, the words almost inaudible because of the peanut-butter.
"I want it that way!"Everyone cheered and laughed like hyenas, it wasn't everyday you'd see a girl like Justice doing such an activity.
It caused the elf leaned on the little wall beside the door to cock his brow in absolute confusion.
What the...?"We are, two worlds, apart, can't reach to," Justice stuffed two more spoonfulls into her mouth.
"Your heart!!" Everyone sang along, they just couldn't help themselves.
"When you say, I want it that way!"
"Tell me why!" Kory sang.
"Ain't nothin' but a heartache!"
"Tell me why!" Max chimed in.
"Ain't nothin but a mistake, tell me why...I never wanna hear you say," ...more peanut-butter!
"I want it that way!!"They were about to continue their shenanigans when the sound of a very annoyed voice clearing their throat by the door rung out, the group immediately freezing as they all turned to look at who it was. Standing with his arms crossed against the door was their head.
Bernard freaking Evergreen.
Justice felt her face go white.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Upon his face was a look of pure confusion and he looked less than impressed, this struck fear in everyone, even Tobi.
"I thought I told you to lock the door!" Max whisper yelled at Kory, the boy throwing his hands up in defence.
"No you didn't! you told Iris to!" He contradicted, the certain goth elf mentioned grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and glaring into his eyes.
"You really gonna pull that card on me now?" She mumbled angrily, the boy poking his tongue out as a response."Alright children, stop bickering, we've got a guest," Tobias hushed as he ruffled both Iris's and Kory's messy hair, before walking casually over to Bernard.
How the frick is he so calm about this?!!
"Bernard, this is a pleasant surprise. What brings you by?" He asked, the black haired elf looking up at him as if he were an idiot as he uncrossed his arms.
"At first I needed to ask a favour but now it's because of the racket you're all causing," He said before glaring at Justice, the girl's face going 50 shades of red as she wiped the peanut-butter from her face and placed the jar down onto her desk, looking to the side so she could avoid eye contact.
"Oh, that? It's just one of our traditions. You can thank Justice for that," Tobi said, the girl's eye widening as she froze in her seat.
"And why is that?" Bernard asked firmly, crossing his arms once more.
"Because she said the a-word," Maxine chimed in, resting her arm high up on Tobias's shoulder.
"Excuse me?" The blackette asked, beyond confused as to what they were going on about.
"She said the a-word silly!" Cindy giggled as she grabbed a gingerbread cookie from a nearby tray and began nibbling on it.
"And why is that of such significance?" Bernard asked.
"She could have chosen to use any other word...anything at all, but instead, she chooses to use the vulgar and downright inappropriate term for a butt. It's beyond disgusting my friend, I can't stand it," Tobias explained in a dramatic yet calm fashion, Bernard simply staring at him like he had three heads before shaking his head.
"You know what? We're done with the subject. I'd like very much to talk about the favour instead." The Blackette said, Maxine and Cindy walking away to take their seats while Justice began quietly sneaking off to the kitchen.
"Of course. What about it?" Tobi asked, interested in what he might've had to say.
"Since it's mid October, the demands on toys and toy parts have been much higher and a lot harder to document, meaning I don't have as much time to write official letters to those out on the field and type up reports for Santa on the factory progress since he's home until December. Since that's the case, I'm looking to your best elf in the writing department to take on the role as my scribe and help keep everything running smoothly," Bernard explained, Justice almost having reached the kitchen.
